*DONT TOUCH MY SKIIIIIN MAN*
This has turned into one one of those GMM iconic clips
As someone with EDS, I can say that hypermobility is sometimes involuntary and painful, but is always a fun party trick
syd spata agreed while I am really flexible and my mother has EDS I might have it I always have joint pain
Carl yeah I don’t think my mom does but I sprain everything on accident all the time
“Is that FROM an incident”-link
“NO it’s FOR an incident” -Rhett
same
they should make ear buds and instead of right and left they should have rhett and link
FloppyPancake And Punisher Slayer Rhett and link should look at ur comment and put it in their merchandise
Did anyone laugh at link screaming and saying “ outlaw that persons leg!”
"OuTlAw ThAt PeRsOnS LeYeG" ~Link
"Why you have to pinch me" LOL love it😝😛😛☺️☺️☺️
Unicorns1122 Pink i can't help myself.
I know I'd be pinching him just for the fun of it.
I'm hypermobile, lol but not in a cool flexible way. In a my-joints-always-wanna-pop-out-of-socket kind of way.
Me too. Oh, and apparently not all my joints are hyper mobile, but a bunch of them are, making me 'extra crunchy'.
I have a hyper mobility disorder and it’s much more then just being double jointed it’s constant joint pain and displacement and fatigue
Well i feel very sorry for people with hypermobility beacause i only am double jointed in my arms
Yes, I am (professionally diagnosed) 8/9 on the scale. It causes my pain, fatigue and I get hurt easily. It’s all over my body not just a certain region
I have a condition called Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, which is a more severe case of Hyper-Mobility Syndrome, and for someone who dislocates their hips if they sit cross-legged too long, I can easily say that being double-jointed is neither a gift or an ability. Sure, I've got some super cool party tricks and I have a solid 9 on the Beighton Score, but it's not fun, or cool. But, I like this video, you're showing people something that's not often spoken about. Love you GMM
I have E.D.S. too. I have Classical E.D.S. though, not hypermobility. I have more problems with my skin than my joints.
Kayleigh classical sounds pretty difficult to deal with! Thankfully we have a lovely community. I wish they'd used this episode to say go to the doctor if you get above 4 and look into eds so maybe with their huge audience they might have an influx of people go to the doctor so the Accurate number of sufferers is better and more doctors would be available for assistance
Kate Harwood I used to love to play golf, but now I dislocate my shoulders almost every time I try to swing a club. Same with arm wrestling.
Hey! I have E.D.S too! But I think they're not talking about it in this video and more about Hyper-Mobility Syndrome, so, when they said that about it being a gift they're not referring to E.D at all :) So don't take it to hearth because they weren't talking about our pain being a gift or something.
Link teasing Rhett about his saggy weenis is the best thing ever.
Haha it really is. Also, that sentence sounds so wrong if people don't know what a weenis is.
The part with Rhett's elbow skin cracked me up xD
JJ Bazile Link didn't look like he could help himself, what a troll. So funny though
JJ Bazile oooook. Literally 5 seconds after I unpaired from replying to you, he said exactly that. I'm a derp
it was really cute how rhett started tickling him while smiling so wide, true friendship right there XD
I legitimately find this video when I forget the episode by searching “don’t touch my elbow skin”
6:51 Link's CD player impression 😂💿
*watches Link pushing on Rhett's leg*
"tries *it"*
cracked my knee
*"Nope, not today"*
EDS hypermobility type here! Love watching your videos and this one is really great 🔥
...I feel like someone is going to dislocate their arm or leg with this test
Especially as they're encouraging people to try to force their joints into hyperextension. This could really hurt people, and it's pretty irresponsible of them to encourage folks to do the test this way. The Beighton Score is to test if your limbs hyperextend without effort.
I'm so tight, I'm so stressed, need someone to rub my neck,
oh yeah, that's the spot
seidimeow put some oil on my back, give me a two-handed attack :)
Rhett & Link: Man I can't do most of these!
Everyone with hEDS: Hold my knee brace.
Love how playful they are in this ep!!!
hypermobility syndrome can be really unpleasant the more hypermobile you are the more likely it is to sublux or dislocate your joints and leads to joint pain and early arthritis so if you find out you can do these things please don't do them too often because it can really mess up your joints in the long run
Thank you for adding this i am a sufferer from hypermobility syndrome and in pain 27 i would of like it if they explained the downside of this as it is not great to have.
Exactly! I have suspected Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type 3 and diagnosed hypermobility syndrome. I wish people understood just how problematic and painful it is.
Rebecca Kirk I have easily rolled my ankles several times and hurt them from falling off of pointe in ballet. I have to run a littke awkward just to avoid spraining or rolling my ankles because of my hypermobility. It's awful.
My sister has Hyper Mobility Syndrome, and most likely Ehlers Danlos (we can't get a diagnosis yet), and she almost always has joint pain and breaks/sprains things really easily. She's had bruised ankle bones for almost a year now :(. But some people are hypermobile and don't have any problems. And sorry if I'm wrong, but hypermobility syndrome (I think) is not everyone who is hypermobile, but people who have pain/breaking easier that the rest of the population and hypermobile people. Sorry if that's wrong or too long though
"Yours doesn't have the flexi!" 😂😂😂
Rhett makes link look so short 😂
Marisa Mccall should've seen the video they did on Ro's channel. Link looked massive next to Ro
Rhett knees were bent on the extra mobility one😂
*RHETT : OOOHHH yeah! I did it*
"U can touch it, just dont pull on it" "u can pull on mine!" 😂😂😂
"Outlaw that person's leg." LMAO. Omg, I laughed at this for so long. Wow.
I don't know too much about that I just got a chuckle out of what Link said. (o^ ^o)
I have hyper mobility syndrom, trust me its not fun, joints ache 24/7 and they get stiff easily
... Whale umm i dont experience that but knowing me itll probably happen
Alightsole12 I has it in my pinkys my arms and legs bend back wards and I can touch my hands too the ground and it's like living h3️⃣ll to live
Alightsole12 I have hypermobility syndrome and that doesn't happen to me and the doctor said I have it
years later and it's still super cool that you guys did a vid on hypermobility. it's cool seeing something you have on a show this awesome
HOLY COW!! link pullin on rhetts elbow skin made me laugh so hard. i was in tears. i dont think ive ever laughed so hard at a video. Thanks for the laughs
Hypermobility can be very dangerous. I have hypermobility secondary to Ehlers Danlos Syndrome type 3, or hypermobility type. If you're hypermobile, and have chronic pain, you should be looked at for EDS.
Thank you! I’ll bring that up with my pain clinic doctor, I’ve never really talked to them about it.
This is literally the hEDS mobility test, lol.
Also, if you have stretchy skin or are prone to dislocating joints, DEFINITELY get looked into for hEDS.
6:44 the best horror movie scene 👽
Love that you called it an ability !!! I have this and it’s actually really sucky and inhibits my day to day life but, the added “you’re cool” if you have it is awesome lol!!
I have the best joints, believe me.
You might have the best joints, but Rhetts Weenis was HUGE! and you know the old saying- Small hands, small weenis.
I got 0 on the test. Definitely not double jointed!
I got 0 as well and I am happy about it. Watching knees and elbows bend back always scares me because I'm afraid that they're gonna snap backwards. Some of the scariest videos I've seen on youtube are of hyper-mobile people at the gym.
Me with ehlers danlos syndrome- (gets literally every point) "hah weaklings"(ignores that I'm literally dying from this thing)
😇
“outlaw that persons leg”
Okay this is a small rant. Just to let you know.
I'm glad Link had a little look at this, but as Rhett said being ONLY double jointed is NOT HMS (Hypermobility Syndrome), Its only hypermobility. People who have the syndrome have a connective tissue disorder that makes their collagen more stretchy than normal. This comes with a range of other issues like arthritis, joint pain, orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), Chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain syndrome, to name a few.
Having hypermobile joints without much pain can be part of another illness called classic type ehlers danlos syndrome (EDS). But um yeh. The beighton score can be used to see if someone is hypermobile but if they are having no joint pain or other symptoms you most likely do not have the syndrome.
LOWLIFE I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being big-headed or something, I get quite fired up on the subject! So ye
rebekka Johnston Oh no! I didn't know about that. I know the nhs is currently doing a project about genetic disorders.
Hopefully more people will be educated soon. I do try to talk about it when the subject comes up, doesn't hurt to inform people.
Purple PooStain I'm so confused if I'm double joined do I get arthritis and have the syndrome or do I not
7:23 me:that seems easy
Also me: almost breaks legs
Had a friend in school who was flexible like the video at the end. It was always funny/enjoyable seeing and hearing classmates’ reactions to him doing “his thing”
How is no one talking about how adorable these two dorks are in this episode?? 💟
Also, Link looks particularly hot in this one. But I've got a thing for men in plaid, not gonna lie. 😍
The only thing I learned today is that I have really short arms
Than try licking your elbow short armed people can do that link can do it too
Omg ur videos are so.addictomg I gotta wake up at.3 tmmr and it's 10 30!!
Hey guys! I love y'all but there's a lot of misinformation in this video that I wanted to correct!
1. Hyper mobility syndrome is actually pretty iffy with doctors. Hyper mobility syndrome is often what people get misdiagnosed as before they get diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. This distinction is really important because hyper mobility is really dangerous so Ehlers Danlos is something you need to be under a doctors watch with!
2. I know it seems like a fun thing, but people who are hyper mobile actually tend to suffer an extreme level of pain, so spreading the rhetoric that 'oh this isn't a syndrome this isn't so bad' is pretty damaging because it basically doubts the suffering of people who live with an invisible illness.
3. The scale you're using is actually a diagnostic test for Ehlers Danlos Syndrome so it would have been really nice if you had addressed that since its so rarely talked about and you have such a wide audience.
PS I have a 9/9 on this scale and i wish i had seen a video like this in my childhood to know this wasn't normal, so its so nice that you're doing this but also please please dig further into what you're talking about :)
Ruthie Banks Agreed. I have EDS Hypermobility too (and now Rheumatoid Arthritis). I wish they would have addressed all of this.
Ruthie Banks I have EDS too and I really wished they said this was a test for a genetic disorder because it can be dangerous. I have to get heart ultrasounds
thank you! I have eds also. its nice seeing people understand. I don't enjoy being made fun of or told that I'm fine or being dramatic...
I too have Hypermobility EDS. Luckily I don't have any of the vascular manifestations, but it is very painful nonetheless. Also 9/9 on Beighton which finally triggered my doctor to have me genetically tested for EDS. I too wish it would have been noticed earlier on in life so I wouldn't have used my hypermobility as a party trick.
When you're actually diagnosed with ehlers danlos hypermobile type
ᵈᵒⁿᵗ ᵗᵒᵘᶜʰ ᵐᵃʰ ˢᵏᵉᵉᵉᵉᵉᵉᵉᵉⁿ ᵐᵃⁿ
Omg I love these two.
Definitely bff goals 😂
I'm diagnosed hypermobile yet I was still shocked when I passed?😂
Just came here to look for the Ehlers Danlos Syndrome comments✌️ 9/9 on the Beighton scale over here...🙄
4:40 I love how Rhett and Link still tease each other like little kids, even when doing their jobs. It's moments like these that make them seem really human and relatable, and gives extra depth to how true their friendship is.
LINK WAS TOUCHING ALL OVER RHETT'S WENIS
Olivia S That's not dirty. The skin on your elbow is called a wenis.
I have hypermobility (not EDS that I know of). I pass all of these. Hypermobility comes with chronic pain in my joints and I get injured at my joints really easily like twisting my ankle or hyperextending something.
I got double-jointed shoulders! I can scratch my whole back
Hehe me too! Its funny if you get one of your friends to put their hand on your shoulder and they gross the heck out!
Same! I can also touch my ear on the same side of my arm with both at the same time.
Asap Animation can anyones feet can make their pinky go right and make their thumb go down witgout moving the other fingers?bet you cant
Yay!!! We finally get noticed. I had a ligament reconstruction because I was hyper mobile!! I’m so happy
I stayed up all night watching this lol lol
i come back to this video so often solely for the weenis clip
its my all time favorite gmm moment
i think this is one of the last videos i ever watched by these dudes, the NOSTALGIAAAAAAA
Ive never been so happy to be double jointed before
People would be like eww your elbows bend backwards I'm like yes because I'm double jointed
Hypermobility syndrome is in positive because even though I have it and I love being flexible it means that in a few years I know I'm going to have chronic pain
I love Rhett
OMG! Thank you so much for making this video! Now i can see weather I am double jointed or not
Okay this frustrates me a lot. I was born with a connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and it’s a hyper mobility disorder. It’s NOT a super power I’m completely bed bound and my stomach has completely failed having me to 100% rely on a feeding tube just to survive. I dislocate over 50 joints a day and it’s excruciatingly painful. So what seems like a joke to you is what has completely destroyed my life. I wish hyper mobility disorders is like the joke you make it but for people like me it makes them completely disabled not even being able to walk.
Im sure they did not mean to be disrespectful at all this video was most likely just in good fun or they simply didn't know
@@celeb-seventeen Rhett and Link are awesome I have been watching them for years so I have nothing against them but I feel like there should have been more research into hypermobility disorders. People with hypermobility disorders already get laughed at because people think we are just "bendy" it just upsets me that this video builds up what people already think about hypermobility disorders and would have been nice if they instead raised awareness.
Rebecca Moore I have hypermobility syndrome and EDS, I score 9 on the Beighton scale, and everyday is just pain. It’s definitely not a superpower.
I agree. I have watched Rhett and Link for years and I love them but this episode was upsetting to me. I have hEDS and it's variety of comorbid disorders (sounds like you have gastroparesis and such, I'm sorry. I have MCAS and whatnot) I don't dislocate my joints too often thanks to all my bracing but it is so painful still, and I get such bad tendinitis and bursitis for no reason. I'm not in a wheelchair by sheer force of will, plus a cane, lots of pain meds and so many braces. Love from another zebra!
Nobody:
Absolutely no one:
Not a SINGLE SOUL:
Rhett: DoN't ToUcH mY sKeEn MaN
I'm double jointed but it freaks everyone out
Sophie Is Awesome same I'm double jointed at my thumbs but people are scared of it
Sophie Is Awesome same. I can completely bend my fingers back and wrap my arms back and around my head completely.
4:48 If Rhett said "Don't touch my weenis," I would not have stoped laughing for 3 days.
MathGenius362 i know someone who can lick their own weenis but they cant lick their elbow its so weird
Instructions not clear, dislocated my neck
Got 7 points! Love watching them at night!!!!
funniest GMM 😭
That south carolina screwup at the end :) so telling of where they're from!
Lol I know this video is old but I just watched it for the first time (new to GMM) and I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) type 3 which is the hypermobility type. This is one of the tests I went through with my pain management team of doctors. I have a 9/9. I have many sublaxations (partial dislocations) daily and am at a great risk for full dislocations. With EDS, your collagen is basically defective which makes my skin stretchy and fragile, and I’m more prone to organ failure since all of your organs are made of collagen. EDS is destroying my digestive system. My diet is limited because my intestines can’t handle some foods. EDS has basically stolen my career and made college 10x harder because of pain and fatigue. I’ve been a dancer for 15 years and it’s almost impossible to dance much now. I’m retiring soon (I’m only 20).
Yes, some of my double jointed tricks are funny and cool, but I’d trade it all in a second to have my life back.
I’d love to see a video of y’all going through this test with an EDS patient (lol I volunteer, I live in California) and interviewing them on how EDS/hypermobility has impacted their life!
The don’t touch my SKEEEEEN part I couldn’t stoppp laughinggg 😭😭😭
It’s not a good thing I have hypermobility i’m constantly in pain my joints always dislocated and break 😭
i was watching this at like midnight and i started dying of laughter when it got to Rhett's elbow. lmao
double jointed ness is not a super power you can have pains and your joints are loose
this is fun bc i’m double jointed, but also crazy to me that others can’t do these things 🤣
I love how easily they can turn into children
Also, I'm really scared for Rehett's back...
Love your username :)
@catherine worsdale Why? would you be offended if someones name was "Proud North European"?
*OR PROUD VIETNAMESE*
BadMadChicken she said she liked it
