If your circles are bad enough you have to choose between coverage and creasing. My circles are almost black so I can deal with touching up creasing if it means I get high coverage. I’ve had prematurely aged undereyes since I was 18 so I’ve been doing heavy concealer a long time. Everyone’s different.
@@iwillstomI was thinking the same lol I don't have that heavy of a eyebag it's just a color that, probably bc my skin is really pale, when i apply concealer gets gray 🤡 and i already have a lot of winkles in the undereye bc i have a dermatitis type that does this so i already accepted the wrinkly life
Using sunblock daily even after damage has been done will help eliminate wrinkles to some degree as does making sure you are fully hydrated, water being the best. Also using a cooled squeezed out chamomile teabag over the eyes for 7 minutes, but be careful with the tea as some people have allergy to chamomile. Don't do it if allergic to chamomile. Then you can try the make up. White eye liner in creases helps eliminate shadows so helps eliminate them visually.
Keep in mind this is in lieu of foundation in the eye area, so you don’t have layers of product there. Just because he’s using 3 different concealers/correctors doesn’t mean 3 layers.
I don’t know where you learned this but when you study makeup at college for bags or wrinkles they teach you to apply a small amount ( a small dot) of concealer to only the very inner and outer of the eye, let it sit for a few seconds to warm to the skin then pat it gently in place with a finger trying not to move the product around to much but instead focusing it on the area that you applied it too. Also if you have mature skin using a colour corrector will only add unwanted texture.
He's the make up artist for Nars. I don't think they are idiots. And btw maybe he learnt this with years of experience, not everything taught in school works wonders 😅
It's his own technique. Education centres teach mostly from books. This guy teaches from personal experience. No hate meant... just my worthless opinion. I can't even find the correct shade of foundation for myself never mind my eye bags, which are carrying luggage at this point 😅 FR though! ❤
For those complaining about too many products and steps, its necessary if you do have very dark circles and or bags. There is not cheap products out there that will correct these issues, im sorry. Ive tried them all. You need to invest in the time and money ladies. As someone 47 years old, these products will amazingly correct, conceal and set without looking dry or cakey and minimal creasing. Everything will crease eventually under eyes because we are constantly moving our face...these products will work with this technique!! Use a corrector that cancels out the color of your darkness. Correctors arent suppose to conceal, its to neutralize. Becca/Smashbox corrector is emollient enough for aging skin but is long wearing and pigmented as well. The key is using a concealer that is pigmented enough to conceal but also works well with aging skin over 45 plus. My three favorites are for fullest coverage, Hourglass Brightening Vanishing Airbrush Concealer. For more hydrating medium coverage that is less money, Dior Backstage Concealer or Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Concealer. The only powder that has worked for me is the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Powder. Trust me, follow his steps with these products and it will stay put and not make you look like the gate keeper. Fyi, some products to avoid if you are older like me as these wont work. Tarte Shape Tape (too drying), Haus Labs Concealer (too thick heavy moved around too much), Estee lauder double wear Concealer (dryer than the desert).
The world is full of Nars Head MUA wannabe... 🤫🤭 Then they work shifts or do cleaning or are bank clerk and the only face they ever touched is their own. 🤷🏻
YES!!!! ALL of this!!! I LOVE the Becca corrector & it works amazingly well for my skin at 50!! I also agree with the Tarte Shape Tape concealer. I bought that due to high popularity (before TikTok) on CZcams & regretted it after the first use! I really wish I would have taken that one back... but you live & learn. 🤷🏽♀️ I think what most (younger) people aren't understanding is that he really isn't using a lot of product. If he were doing this like most of them that do the HUGE triangle under their eyes, I might agree. 😂 But he's using a minimal amount, setting it & blending all 3 into 1. Until they reach our age, they'll never understand that everyone is different, as is their chemistry to different products & their skin (elasticity, hyperpigmentation, scars, hormonal changes, etc.). What saddens me is bc of all of the WRONG "influencers", we now have 12 year old girls wanting the entire lineup of Drunk Elephant skincare products! And even worse are the parents who are actually buying it for them!!!!!!🙄🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
That's alot of product ❤ one has to set that like it or not. We have to find a balance between coverage and wrinkle crease control. It's really what's more important to the individual, so I'm sure many will find this helpful x I need coverage at its highest with minimal creasing product and minimal powder.. the struggle is real 😅
How fabulous is this! This is the only makeup channel ever that has addressed all of my mature skin big issues like the hollow area under the eye bags. Thank you so so much!!!
-1- I fail to see how this is much better than just blending ur concealer with the color corrector. -2- For the AFTER image, the lighting and photography blur the hell out of her eye area, making it difficult to see how good the finish is.
This is an insane amount of concealer! The lids have oil to protect the eyes. Hold extra moisturizer under the eyes in the day. LIGHTLY pat concealer under the eyes from inner to outer eye area. Wait...you'll see it melt/blend in 20 min.. It's amazing. Lightly brush away any that settled in lines. Add a wee bit-only where/if needed. NEVER set powder here. It makes a big mess
You used yo much he has incredible thin lines of concealer. I believe he is using Nars radiant its very light texture all the application makes a difference also the powder is the key I use Givenchy it is expensive but it lasts forever and you need so little and you look like you have a filter on your face
I usually just use cream concealer for the hollow then a liquid concealer after set it with powder. The trick i use is eye cream and good moisturizer so that it dont crease but i will try this one too cause it looks simpler
it really depends on the concealer used and how he buffed it out although it does seem excessive. they’re are products u can use that won’t set in under eye lines, & technique.
Who has this kind of time, not to mention money for all these products? In addition, all that stuff will just make your wrinkles way more noticeable. Less is always better.
Honestly I would not be able to do this every day my adhd would have me in the mirror ALLL day long . It looks very beautiful tho! I would definitely do this for a special occasion or invites to a wedding......ect 🙏❤️☺️
Has this woman never had anything touch her face? 😂 he is over an INCH from her eyes and she's flinching and blinking like it's the very first time someone put eyeliner on her waterline lol
dear vincent what to do when i have got 'faeltchen' underneath my eyes (cream? which?) & how to do makeup - spare this area out (?)?? thx a lot!! b. 💞🙏💮✨💫💫
Wow what a difference. I always manage to blend it all together even when I try to keep the colors separate, so this doesn’t do what you show here. Is there a trick to avoid doing this?
This type of heavy coating of concealers will only work for people who have no fine lines or wrinkles.

True. When I'm much older I'll just use less lol.
Um... wait. I don't even use concealer 😂😂😂😂

@@Skitdora2010it's not even about damage. Anyone who smiles with this kind of coverage will get cracks.
Great for younger eyes, not for us older ladies with fine lines. SORRY !!
Anybody over thirty five could never
And then wait for the cracks of each and every tiny wrinkle to pop up

Hourglass is phenomenal. I use the brightening powder under the eye and it helps a lot. Not cakey at all!
You really think 47 is older? Try 70! 😂
Dryer than the desert 💀💀💀 agreed!
Waaay too much product. That made me wince
Wayne Goss’s style for concealing bags are way, wayy better. He just use a little of everything to avoid creasing.
please please do one for dark under eye circle on olive skin. i loved your previous techniques but it doesn't cover under eyes properly.
Yessss pleaseeeee !!
Yes, please...
Put an orange color corrector first, blend it, and then concealer Oma’s usual on top.
Lighter layers decrease the creasing and cakiness..uou can put eyeshadow under the eyes to conceal the creasing under the eyes
I tried and I got ugly little wrinkles 😢
I’ve tried this technique it doesn’t work. Plus all that product creases and made my eyes itch.
Tiny eyes with dry cracking product vs some bags. Though this technique might be of use if you were taking photos immediately after
Will it eventually crack and show the wrinkles?

Does that work on wrinkly crepey mature under eyes? Seems like it would be so much product. It would get in the lines.
How many concealers do we need for this one? And what if we have lines underneath the eyes?
I have heard (from Wayne Goss) that using eye primer under the eyes as a first layer (after skin care) is helpful.
These shorts are absolutely amazing ❤thank you for including us mature ladies. #60 is the new #40❤❤😊
This is actually a great technique
Then you would end up with so much creasing under the eyes.

Not over a certain age. That is far too heavy and will cake and separate.
Do it on an older person that really HAS bags and lines!! Watch it settle in the lines!🤪

I have the opposite issue w hollow eyes! I need that technique and powder for drier mature undereyes
