tohru is that one character that you can never hate arrrrggg i love this ship
I actually dislike her at the first season because her (too much) kindness annoys me. After watching season 2, I don't dislike her but I just feel neutral with her. But I really love this ship a lot and I was afraid Kyo would become the second lead.
@@estrellacalliope1241 Yeah I love her I think alot of people don't really understand her character they think she is just kind and ,,too perfect" but there is much more to her you can look up some videos where her character gets explained She is not a marysue
@@estrellacalliope1241 yeah i can understand that, it does seem like she’s perfect at first but she’s actually not. she has a lot of insecurities too etc. personally i love her character bc she’s really pure & full of good intentions while still having her internal struggles

@@micaylawinton1831 yeah it really teaches watchers to give people chances. Everyone is unique in their own ways. But with Tohru, she may have been overbearing with her kindness when you first meet her in the first season but as you give it some time and start to learn why she acts the way she does, why thinks the way she does, and really get to know her past, you start to understand what kind of person she truly is on the inside and love her for who she is on a deeper level.

When did she realize she was in love with Kyo? Kyo realized it when he went to visit Akito on the vacation trip to the beach. At the end of this ep when they said they won't think it, I think Tohru meant about him having to be locked up after graduation and I think Kyo meant the same thing but thinking how he is going be away from Tohru and also he doesn't want to think that Tohru knows about it. Is that how is goes?
@@90210spa actually thats a common misconception about that scene from the play!! it was actually in those moments tohru realized her feelings for kyo and kyo begins to worry that tohru might actually share the same feelings in return
@@90210spa thats why they say the line of “i won’t let myself think it” as in the possibility of their feelings being reciprocated and actually being able to end up together

@@90210spa Kyo had already realized his feelings for tohru prior in episode 9, if anything he was worried in this moment that tohru shares the same feelings back
She cried when Kyo told her that if there is someone that she like he would help her because the person that told her to help is also the person that she like
and she's too innocent to even realize that ಥ_ಥ
She hasn't admitted or realized how much Kyo means to her (at this point) but one thing she is for sure, she doesn't want Kyo to get locked up. This scene where she cries unconsciously after hearing Kyo will help her with someone she likes hurts her feelings because deep inside the person that she wants is Kyo and Kyo somehow subtly affirms that he is not going to be that guy.
I honestly love their relationship, just take a look at Kyo- like he genuinely softens his voice while talking to her, he acts kinder, more understanding, everything has changed-- like damn I wonder when I'll get a Kyo-type-of-guy 😃
I wish I had a Kyo-type-of-guy in my life too, but then I remember I'm not Tohru 😭

Kyo is so freaking manly. I love how he looks tough on the outside but has a very soft heart especially for Tohru. And he has very good fashion sense.

I really need some fruits basket fans to have as friends. This is my favourite anime of all time and I've seen hundreds by now. None of my friends have seen it and I have one that's seen the original and keeps saying she will but never does. And the original is nothing like the new version. Its known to stay from the manga and cut a lot out. And it's so frustrating because I have so much to say about this show and how amazing it is but no one to talk to about it. It's so underrated and hardly anyone has seen it compared to other shows. Its art, music, story and characters are unmatched. I cannot find a single flaw with it except the fact that it's so close to all being over. It's such a beautiful story. It makes me so emotional. Every character is so unique in their own way that you can't help but instantly love them. The show also tackles topical subjects like exam stress, death, grief, loss, as well as familial and romantic love. Not only that but it has one of the best Japanese casts I've ever seen. I know the dub has some of the greats in it too like Eric Vale, Jerry Jewel, Brina Palencia, Christopher Sabat, Colleen Clickenbeard, and Ian Sinclair who are all in One Piece as well and i love them all. However the sub is unbeatable.

Same. It's hard to meet people who love this anime. I read the manga, watched the 2001 and 2019 anime. Although I prefer the manga and the new remake as well as the movie. Truly love this series. It taught me a lot.

I didn't know I cried so much for Yuki, Kyo, Momiji, Harito.. and the friendship netween Tohru, Arisa and Saki. I like the "Outing" part when Tohru hold on to his shirt and their movement really in sync. That is so sweet. 🥰 Everytime rewatching, I understand it netter and deeper. Watching over again as I grow older, i begin to be more magnanimous towards Shigure, Akito, Kureno.😢 This anime healed people. 😂 I thank you, the host for spending time making this "Recap". 👍👍 👍 ❤😂

I’m not ready! This beats out a bunch of shows (not only anime) yet it’s underrated or relegated as the « remake ». The story is deep and rich and you get a sense of longing and sadness from each character (even aki-bitch). While I didn’t read the mangas cause I don’t want to spoil anything and will afterwards, I do know that one ship sails and I’m so excited
