    Rediscovering Radio Part 4
I've made a start with the QRP Labs QCX Plus 40m Transceiver Kit.
In this video I pick up on what I learnt in Part 3 and make sure to optimise the toroid coil winding before starting the kit build. This includes how to solder enamelled wire, continuity testing and a systematic approach to the project.
So I'm still Rediscovering Radio and will be making more videos as I go on this journey:

GA brother ham, Just a quick comment. I have five QCX radios and still enjoyed watching your video. I am planning another QCXP this time on 17-meters. My earliest QCX is a Rev2 80-meter which works just fine. Going over the parts I have always distributed each value into a plastic parts bin sort of like a large old-fashioned ice tray with each parts cell labeled per the parts listing. I think you are very wise to value the toroids before install. I am sure this saves a lot of time. I have never done this until now but I will next time. Thanks for the video and will hope to hear from you on this side of the pond. Knowing your call would have made that process easier. de N4NRL

Thanks so much for your encouragement. It's taking a while, but I will get back on the air eventually - my callsign is G4BSK, issued in 1972. Glad you liked the video, hope we can make contact sometime. All best wishes, Mortimer

That's great to hear Matt - I've been a bit delayed by other projects but I'm getting right back to it. Hope your project goes well and thanks for your feedback.
