  • The German Walter Scholz (1938) is one of the greatest trumpeters of all time. He is also an actor, producer and teacher. He interprets his amazing arrangement of the 'Czárdás', a rhapsodical concert piece written in 1904 by the Italian composer, violinist, mandolinist and conductor Vittorio Monti (1868-1922). The Czárdás is his most famous work.
Czárdás is a traditional Hungarian folk dance, the name derived from 'csárda', old Hungarian term for a roadside tavern or restaurant.
    With views from Hungary.
Recorded in the album 'Festliches Trompetenkonzert' (Festive Trumpet Concert - 1975).

Wonderful to hear this played on trumpet. In the same genre of challenging trumpet music as carnival of venice and also hora staccato. 😀✌️
