If we check the quarterly statement of mutual funds and invest on the same shares which they have invested, then by itself we can beat their returns. By doing so we will be eliminating expense ratio costs,fund management fee deductions (which is on daily NAV I think), lost opportunity due to reserves and retained earning (which they do in order to reinvest the returns). One gentleman from US did the same, by copy pasting Warren Buffets portfolio.😄😄😄 it involves a lot of risk though.

As per I know we can change the monthly investment plan
Yes you can do it only after approval by the bank. But this flexibility should not be habitual and should be done occasionally.
