- Team Liquid versus Luminosity from MLG Columbus 2016, the first NA major for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with a giant prize pool of 1 million dollars was the biggest choke in the history of Counter-Strike. In this video, we take a closer look at some of the rounds, have a few laughs, and in the end earn respect for the players and teams who participate in eSports. What I'm trying to say is, this video is for entertainment purposes, as all my videos are, so quit getting so pained in the derrière every time I talk about pro Counter-Strike.

like when fnatic had like 14 wins but i think flusha didnt defuse a bomb and so the other team won and gained enough steam to win 16-14

Anton Nzl I have, and it was so disappointing. We were a full lobby. Half time was 10-5, we start of great, get the score to 13-7 and good economy, then teammates just started making mistakes. I kept fragging, 2-3 kills every round and they just lose out on these 1v1 where they shouldn't have. It was disappointing, but a learning curve, especially that we were a newly formed 5-man lobby. I Ended that game with 34+kills and the next nearest to me was 21 and then the others were stuck in the teens.

i was there. i was cheering for LG because almost nobody else in the arena was and i met them so many times and they were nice guys. the crowd was literally booing whenever LG made a good play. I even had some clown in a C9 tank top threaten to beat me up because I wasnt rooting for TL
that comeback was hilarious. everyone around me was mocking me and throwing it in my face for rooting for LG then to watch all the energy and hype slowly fade to nothing was AMAZING. 10/10 would troll again

Luckily enough it seems black and white enough that when you do meet a cool person in the community they're exceedingly humble and fun to play with. That's just my experience tho, and I've been playing for nearly 10 years now.

+Thiago Duarte The server was 128 tick, the GOTV demo itself is only 32 tick(to save memory). Maybe even only 16, Valve increased it a while ago for overwatch,but i don't know if they also did this for normal GOTV demos.

Their play on Cache was terrible.
Only needed 1 round, 3v2, and they put the AWP'er to jumping noscope vents while an AK was put in B-Main, and the onyl smart one, another AK to sit on B Site with bomb.
They could have simply had the AWP'er in checkers watching B-Main and have two AK's on site, or even 20 different options that would have been better then what they did that round...

I know what you're talking about. If you want to work on teamwork you have to actually have a team, get 4 friends together and make a team and then you can work on your strats, but be forewarned, many friendships have been broken thanks to CS teams.
+TheWarOwl Does happens sometimes, would say 1/5 of my MG2 games we play as a team, but other no one barely talks, even worse, only talks when someone is clutching, wtf.
But not everyone has 4 friends that play CS, and on a similar level, and that can play on the same time. CSGO would need a better team-spirit incentive. I can't 100% enjoy the game without playing in at least 2~3 stack, and is sad.

Or best way is, go play in CEVO or buy esea and play there. If you are not enough good for those try Faceit, there is a lot of noob there but often people try to talk to each other.

I've choked plenty of times, and sometimes, the other team just turns up out of nowhere. Once they win a couple rounds in a row, you get really nervous and start playing like trash and making dumb decisions.

I really like this kind of content from you. Much as I would like to, I'm simply not able to watch much CSGO in tournaments due to time constraints, so your after-the-fact reviews and occasional casting of particularly good matches is an extremely efficient way to get my fix of CSGO.

Everything in this video simply shows Liquids lack of experience and also how badly they cope with high pressure situations. That being said, taking the final out of the equation, Luminosity were obviously the better team. And also do you honestly think Liquid would have been able to do what Luminosity done to Na'Vi in the final? I doubt that.

Had Liquid somehow found the balls to take that last damn round in both maps, Na'Vi would 100% have won the final. Na'Vi got destroyed on Overpass 16-2, yet still played better than Liquid in those dreadful rounds they lost at matchpoint. But alas, still a heads up to them for reaching NA's first playoffs since Cologne 2014, and a semifinal even. Also to CLG, of course.
Xip Your logic is impalpable. There's no fucking way you're gonna say a team who lost 16 to fucking 2 played better than a team who had the lead and match point but then choked. Like that literally doesn't make any sense. And again it all depends on the map pool, which usually favors Navi because they have a deep map pool, nevertheless the way liquid had been playing on a player by player skill basis was off the charts, they definitely had a good chance, and I would say it would be very arguable that they would have the advantage of momentum and home field advantage. Like please, you're just a hater. My mouse pad is a Navi one, I'm not really a fanboy of any team, I like alot of teams because of their players. You're the one who is bias my friend.

Honestly they ruined the Negev. I don't know about lower ranks but using a Negev at Global is impossible because as soon as you start prefiring everyone knows where you are and they'll just wait or outaim you. Old Negev was an AK with 5x the rounds and like 1.5x the fire rate lmao

+Faris#Alonso 13-2 isn't normal for any side. Even most T side Nuke teams got 4 rounds. 10-5 or 9-6 is an average Overpass score line going into the half. Arguably 11-4. Na'Vi is known for being good on Overpass.

Well, 4 players there, it is not that hard to hit one of them, pretty high chance, but hitting 2 is just pure luck, once in a lifetime shot :)

He said there's 4 players, so it is indeed pretty high chance, if there's only 2 players, then the chance will be pretty low.
7:46 It is really difficult to out awp some one with an auto, t dont know where ct could be, ct know they have a set place to come out of (main or squeaky) and an auto sniper you can sit somewhere take a shot and move your mouse over a bit to get the hits but with an awp you have to fire then pull back into cover and then try again, you have to either flash them really well, power peak and risk losing the awp or have a better reaction time, its extremely difficult to do

I would say awp has the advantage over auto in MLG where awp users have insane reaction and aim.
Unless you got a head shot with the auto you will definitely lose the exchange with an awp and usually there's no running back to cover because one exchange decides everything in MLG.
I agree but, and auto does 80 in 1 and if you miss the first shot with an awp (unless you have cover) you're pretty much screwed
