    I was intrigued by the roller, which I had never seen on an organ before.

    Oh lift your eyes yo yhe Heaves with tesrs of peace and joy when you hear this masterpiece by Franz Liszt. It is so beautiful and at peace and beautiful to it's listening audience. Jonathon Scott plays this organ song as other organ ßongs songs with such beauty and masterful Organist love. Mr. Scott is a Master Organist. I listen to hisudic everyday. He is extremely talented.
    Bravo to his 🎶 performance. Bravo to the Composer Liszt, a composer 🎶 Genius. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

      Please excuse my typo errors. I listen to this organ performance so often. It is such a a masterful peace of provocative inspiration. Your ears and take in the notes 🎶 and music of the pipe organ being played by Johnathan Scott. But the composer, the master who wrote music, was truly a magnificent composer beyond his years. He was utterly Devine at the organ. Such brilliant talent. My "Hat" off to Jonathan Scott. Lovely, just, spell binding peace. Thank you!

    Now, the King of Instruments has been mastered by the sovereign of organ performance and imagination as he brings to the majestic organ one of the piano’s most alluring compositions. As always, kudos and thanks to J and T.

    Great show of dexterity in both hands and feet, especially the runs and intermanual reaches. I can imagine hearing it played also on a fat romantic organ with lots of strings and orchestral reeds.

      @epincion Před 7 měsíci +3

      The organ builder Friedrich Ladegast who built this in 1878 was a close friend of Liszt and built organs for the (then) new romantic style. In his blog about this trip Jonathan said that the reason he chose to transcribe this piece was that he was looking forward to playing this Ladegast organ.

      @@epincion interesting insight into the instrument. This performance most certainly rescues the piece from the smaltzy travesties that tin pan alley visited upon it.

    What a lovely arrangement and Registrations for Liebestraum on this Fine Ladegast-Sauer Instrument. A sensitive Tempo - not rushed. So well portrayed and thank you for sharing this rendition Jonathan.I liked your visuals Tom.
    Also good to note the absence of any "percussion" from the background builders !

  • @gmfamcdonald1465
    @gmfamcdonald1465 Před 7 měsíci +4

    The builders next door must have gone home for the night, as there was no extraneous noise interrupting your beautiful rendition! This piece was a popular (orchestral) item on our national radio in Australia, when I was a teenager in the 1950s. It certainly was a different time, when classical music still reigned , compared to the "screaming and screeching" which passes as Pop Music today!! Long may the Scott brothers preserve Melody , Class and Style, for their growing army of supporters, which goes to prove that their Music is Timeless , and appreciated by every generation.

    "Love as long as you can." The registrations in this transcription exude the gamut of emotions expressed within the poem. Such warmth, depth, dreaminess.
    From my earliest memories I have loved the sound of the pipe organ. Jonathan's transcriptions revitalize so many classical pieces for me. (everything sounds better on the pipe organ!) Beautifully performed and filmed as always. Flawless. Thanks for sharing. 💐💐❤❤🎹🎶

    Über solche Dispositionen neuer Orgeln freue ich mich immer wieder. Romantische Orgeln machen auf die heutigen Ohren eben einen größeren Eindruck. Vor allem mit 16‘ im Manual. Da kann man die Zuhörer auch in einer trockeneren Akustik „einmulmen“. Zum improvisieren sicher super das Instrument!

    How beautiful was that?!!! What an amazing rendition Jonathan! It reminded me of the Lemare transcription of Wagner's Liebestod that you played on the Armley Schulze organ. The 2 organs sound similar & there was plenty of 'thumbing down' to be done on that piece too!! That Ladegast/Sauer organ sounds wonderful too! Thanks for the lovely images Tom (& for the speedy registration changes!!). An incredible video, thanks boys! xx
