@Dylan Dort exactly. In 2018, the Rams had the only O Line in the league that started all 16 games with the same unit. In 2019, they lost 2 of their key linemen to FA, Havenstein missed most of the year, Whitworth was a year older, and late round picks had to start for the Rams most of the year. And the Falcons O Line last year made basically no run lanes all season

Man oh man, what a game this was to be at. I still remember the excitement the stadium of eagles fans had (good 75% eagle fans) when Wentz threw that TD on 4th down to alshon. And then 5 mins later, the total collective sadness when they showed Wentz on the Jumbotron heading to the locker room. What a game!!
This year was so magical. Everything went right for us somehow
This game will always be a Philadelphia classic, but it came at a massive cost. The future of not just Wentz, but the entire organization.
Well at least they got a super bowl out of it that’s all that matters and hopefully Jalen Hurts is the answer for the future of the eagles

2016 was such a weak QB class. They were honestly set up for failure, so the fact that Wentz and Goff both went to a Super Bowl with their original teams is astounding regardless.

Yeah. So many injuries that killed star players. Derek Carr never looked the same after the broken leg, Marcus Mariota never looked the same after the broken leg, Wentz never looked the same after the ACL.

Also, his team was front loaded with talent, so much so that a backup was able to come in and win SB MVP with it.

Infinitely, yes. That summer I got into a car wreck, and remember catching the very end of this game before finals week in the dorm cafeteria. It was the first time in over a year I had even watched a football game, and helped me really recover from that period of depression.
I'd go back and do it all again in a heartbeat, as trying as that time was it pails in comparison to now. Not everything was political, and we could actually go out and have fun with friends and family. Just sad what the world has become.

Threw a GO-Ahead TD with a torn left ACL on 4th & G. Can't take that from Wentz. I gotta say, it truly is an unfortunate set of circumstances. You are ROLLING through the season. Eagles are the 1 seed in the NFC the entire year, Wentz is having an MVP Season and was THE lead man going into WK 14 vs LA. He then has to watch his backup Nick Foles lead the same team through 3 playoff games, including being a HOME UNDERDOG in both games at the Linc, plus outdueling Brady in SB LII. Everyone knew, but hated to admit, that without Wentz the Eagles wouldnt have even BEEN in that position. Then while rehabbing he has to listen to everyone calling for Foles to start despite the MOST important and sole person in making that decision, Pederson, stand by Wentz and say he's the starter. He starts out not so great in 2018, gets hurt AGAIN, watches Foles get into the playoffs AGAIN, win a ROAD playoff game as a 6 seed, go up 2 TDs on the road vs the 1 seed Saints and looking like they'll REPEAT. After that last playoff run, Wentz's time in Philly was done and drafting Hurts was the nail in the coffin. Even as the unquestionable starter in Indy, it's a dysfunctional organization and he had ZERO chance to succeed. The guy gets a bad rap but it's truly Shakespeareian with respect to his fall from MVP Frontrunner to backing up Taylor Heinicke in a cesspool that is Washington.
