This song is the national anthem of Canada
Thank you Philomena
The title of the song is actually an anagram of "jam up the pump"
@@knuppel8875 Also of "up the jam pump."
Funny you mention that because the music I would most associate with Canada would be Abba because that's what Evil Otto listened to. Evil Otto was my evil uncle who lived most of his life in Canada before moving in with us in 1982. Oh the pain.
The movie from 2013? That was so boring....

Fun Fact: The lead in this video is actually just a model and not the original lead of the group by the name of Ya Kid K.😊
The thing that makes this song is her New Yawk / Jersey accent; the way she draws out those incredible vowels, and how just the effort to enunciate them puts the vocal completely out of time with the rhythm. The most incredible vocalization, that has never been heard since. Timeless.
Fun fact this is the national anthem of canada
it's so crazy to think that this jam was released 229 years after the beginning of the industrial revolution
Yes and the fact that it is somehow affected by the agrarian revolution is almost shocking thank you Philomena for opening our eyes to this reality
It was also released exactly 200 years after the beginning of the French revolution. No way that's just a coincidence
omg , where do you see so much things in "pump it up" ?

The coffin
Fun fact! These were the famous last words of film director Stanley Kubrick.
"Pump Up the Jam" is one of the earliest known instruction manuals on creating jam which works equally well for nearly any fruit. Before its creation each fruit had an entirely different method for jam creation which took years to perfect. Artisans would specialize in one specific type of jam, learning the recipe as a child and constantly making that one jam for their entire life. Children who wished to make a different jam were often shunned by their families and forced to turn to other professions such as barding to help make their alternative jamming sustainable.
Yesssssss
😂
This manual would have never been written if it wasn’t for the invention of the pump, a full year before this. Prior to the invention of the pump, all forms of liquid and semi-gelatinous materials, were lifted with common ladles. So, credit where credit is due.
That’s how Belgians make jelly
omg thank you for this
That first echoey bass note. You know exactly what’s about to happen on the dance floor.
This album, Technotronic was the first album I ever owned. I got it on tape along with a tape player for my 13th birthday back in 1992 (I'm 45 now so I might be a year out or 2) and I played Technotronic for 4 days straight along with John Williams Jurassic Park soundtrack tape and a lite bit of Seal Solitary or Solitude? Those are hazy childhood memories.
Fun fact: this is the national anthem of Canada

As a Canadian I can confirm
Wooooowwww???!!

This song was played at the wedding of French royals Marie and Toinette. Thank you for educating me Philomena.
After their wedding, did they take a cruise on the 1 way submarine, the Titan 1 C?
I spat out some real nice chinese eggplant in garlic sauce that I had just ordered when she said the bit about the identical wives.
Marie and Toinette lmaooooooooooooo
Charles and Camilla have announced that this will be played during the triumphant entry of this weekend's coronation ceremony.
@@austinalsobrook Of course not, single-use submarine hasn't been invented yet, the only technology they were able to experience is the guillotine, the most humane head and body separation device. Still, the guillotine wasn't without its issues, as the head falls into the basket, the impact would cause bruising and in severe cases, concussion.
Still bumpin this in 2024!
