Video of yours since it's been home just waiting to get it all together. I'm so damn happy to see your engine finally in man.

    If you want to clean the connectors on the wiring harness. Use isopropal alcohol. Its what we use on all the elctronics of our helicopters. It will leave the connectors looking almost new.

    Just wait until you dabble in the 2R and 3RZ...stronger, four valves per cylinder and stock rotating assembly that can easily handle 1,000 hp for thousands of hours. My last 22R was a meager 180 hp with a 30 lb flywheel. It took a lot of preparation and money. An RZ upgrade versus an old 2.4L is much like how LS small block Chevrolet opened up way more possibilities and power for less money.

    Hey Kyle, how’s the stage 2.5 running? I ordered on a few weeks ago.. and I’ve heard “from a competitor”, that a stand alone system is required, first I’ve heard of this dilemma. So, I’m curious what your experience and thoughts are? My initial feelings are that Jim at 22re performance, knowing his sincerity and business practices, would without doubt inform a customer of this fact, if indeed a stand alone was necessary etc..

    • @KyleAutomotive1
      @KyleAutomotive1  Před 3 lety +1

      Try cracking the bolt loose on the fuel filter, turn key. If you see fuel leaking out, you got fuel pressure. Don't worry about testing for spark because you said you can spray gas in there and it will run. But try replacing plugs, diz cap, rotor AND the O-ring anyways since they are some of the cheaper maintenance items. Water can get in your distributor if your O ring is crispy. If that doesn't work, buy an intake plenum gasket, take your plenum off (not the whole manifold). Unplug each injector one at a time and connect a 9 volt battery to each (polarity doesnt matter). Just touch the wires and you should hear a click sound from the injector. If not, you could have stuck injector. Hitting them with a hammer a few times will usually do the trick. Also there are two sensors on the front of the intake manifold. Could've fried cold start thermo switch. Try those things. Theres a way to ohm out that sensor to make sure it still works since they are a little expensive. Try this link if you havent yet. 22reperformance.com/faq-diagnostic-info
      Hope you can get it running!
