As a goalie, I’ve noticed that you don’t always feel pressured to do your best. After being a goalie for awhile, movements become habits, and habits become instincts. You don’t worry about pressure, but you know it is there. You notice how you feel on the ice while in net affects the way you play. Ignoring most or all pressure is the best way to stay focused on the game, and play your best.
I’m sorry I’m a goalie but I don’t agree with you I’ve play many high levels of hockey and when your stressed when you fired up and nervous you play better than you would when your calm cause you don’t think as fast and those little saves turn into stressful saves when your calm and my best game was a 3-2 loss in triple overtime with 96 shots against
I’ve been goalie for a long time. And, I thrive on pressure. I would make saves that I shouldn’t have been able to make. Windmill, spoliation save, one where I had fallen on my back, and I just stuck my stick in the air. The puck bounced off my stick and outta play.
Chances are it’s because the shot is so fast, it pushes their hand back. And obviously they don’t want their glove to kick back and have the puck fall in the net, so they drive it forward making it do the windmill, just a thought
Me neither. It more so seems like lucky saves from elite level goalies. These are the highlight saves. Let’s see their bread and butter, that’s what inspires me.

What is the motivation?
Is the song meant to put you asleep?
I work SUPER hard and I’m nine
I don’t like goalies that make it look that they had to windmill but it go’s straight into there glove

It just happens they don’t try to
