Koe Big Boukje 192 van boer Jos Knoef uit Geesteren is vanmiddag gehuldigd om haar bijzondere prestatie. Ze is namelijk de eerste Nederlandse koe die de magische grens van 200.000 litermelk heeft overschreden.

However - on 19 october 2017, Dutch cabinet minister Kamp established the arbitrary number of 10,000 cows 'too many' for The Netherlands.
The Dutch dairy farmers will just have to 'downscale' their dairy herds with 10,000 cows as these cows 'exceed the EU's phosphate-standards'.
Why are Dutch dairy farmers being terrorised by their own government instead of promoting their farming community as having the highest standards in the world?
Alas - the Dutch cabinet has mistakenly, naively, embraced the European Union's pseudo-scientific CO2 hoax - to such an extent that the cabinet prefers to terrorise the most productive dairy farmers in the world about the excellence of their milk production.
So, while CO2 is being exhaled by 7-billion humans with each breath we take - little Holland's completely self-made eco-system apparently can't bear the "overproduction" from 10,000 cows?
While magnificent and much-loved Frisian cows such as Big Boukje produced 100,000 litres of milk in her lifetime of 18 years, she and the rest of her milk-herd in The Netherlands are apparently producing 'too much phosphate'.
The Dutch dairy herd will have to be reduced by 10,000 cows, believes Minister Kamp.
Which leaves Dutch dairy farm-families with the heartbreak: exactly how does one say goodbye to a beloved member of your own family?
