  • We got to float two rivers in one epic weekend! This video shows our time on the Pine River near Baldwin, Michigan. After an over-nighter on the Pere Marquette River (part one), we grabbed a quick nights rest before embarking on our one day adventure down the Pine River. We started our day at Dobson Bridge River Access, and ended 14 miles downstream at Lowbridge River Access. The Pine was fast moving and never slowing. It was one of the happiest times I have ever felt floating down a river, and I am sure I will be back to this extremely fun river!

This is my favorite river to paddle, that is for sure! I love heading there during the weekday, so I have the whole river to myself. Next time I go out I want to paddle the whole length of the river.

This river is pure joy that is for sure.. I would love to do the whole thing as well! It gets pretty small further upstream though, is what the internet tells me anyway. That would be an adventure!

Really great video... love the bird sightings... Heron's are my favorite kayaking bird... they will often keep flying out ahead of us and land and wait... then fly off again... like they are scouting for us.

I often wonder why they don’t just fly the other way.. I’m going to think of them as scouting and leading me forward for now on, I like that!

I went down the pine on a rubber raft. I am not a boat person but it was an enjoyable ride. Many shallow places to swim.

Do you know approx. where that pine tree campsite was on the river? I may be running the Pine this year and scoping campsites. That would be perfect as we have 5 guys with hammocks

I was looking for coordinates for you, but couldn’t find any from my pictures.. it was past Peterson bridge and before the sand hill which should both be marked on google maps.. so towards the end of the river.

Hey guys next time have some quality duct tape. Works like a charm. I've used it many times.

Yea this is great advice.. duct tape is being added to the dry bag immediately.

I kept a boat for over half a summer with duck tape. My bud was going to trash it. I used it for 2 1/2 months free. Well minus the expense of the tape.
