Joshua I’ve been using it for a couple of years now really works awesome not only for sheephead But for all kinds of fish, even fresh water fish good info. You can also put barnacles inside the pouch shrimp squid or any other bait that you want really think you need to make a video with it
Neat idea. I cut my bait up small and use elastic thread found on Amazon to tie it to the shank. Keeps the bait on the hook and fish from stealing it.

So prefer #1 hook which IMO provides a better hookup ratio.

Sweet! The only couple times I fished for them I had to use a long shanked J hook I free lined doen to them. If i used any split shot or sinkers it scared them away. I tried shrimp anf got lucky but everyone around me was catching them on super tiny J hooks...like size one or smaller and using crabs.

Works great I wear them out with this. But most CZcamsrs won't talk about it. They would rather mess with barnacles. This is much better.

I have fished for years but never targeted sheepshead. I will definitely have to try this next time we going to the coast
It works great for florida. In NC it's not so great due to high amounts of black seabass that tear up those baits. Had to switch to barnacles.

Done that with the salmon spawn sac material and stretchy tie line. Make little sacs ahead of time and put them into a large empty prescription bottle with a lid.
Are salt them a day before and leave them out in the sun to make them chewy
I tried this a few months back , bought the white container of oysters at WalMart for $12.00 , but I didn't catch a single fish with it . Maybe another day I will try again .

Never used a circle hook for sheepers. Always use a small j hook on a Carolina rig or a bottom sweeper.

Tried this last year. Got a lot of pecking from trash fish. I went back to fiddler & mud crabs.

you need to close the end up with the hook weave it in and out then hook in the middle it'll last longer then the way you did it. just a lil fiy for you

You a do the same oyster bag with old panty hose. Tight lines everyone.
Lol I work on a dock in Madeira Beach and we catch sheepshead with just a line whatever hook we can find and barnacles you don't need all this fancy stuff to get sheepshead
NOBODY said you can't catch sheepshead with barnacles, shrimp or fiddlers. Showing another way that will allow you to catch more with a single bait. 👍

Seems like you havnt seen sheepshead teeth. While that may hold the booger together BETTER, a sheepshead can go thru that in an instant. I would like to see it in action.
The idea is to help keep the bait on while in use, not to be sheepshead proof.
