    THANK YOU SOOOOOOO MUCH!! I have been so hesitant to buy printable inserts for anything other than letter size because of this. You explained it so well that I’m on my way to your shop to order my printable inserts and piking up the Fiskas trimmer today. ❤️

    Your cut lines is one of the things I love about your printables. I only buy trimmers with the guide, I can’t cut without it!

      Thank you!! The cut lines were an important feature when I was creating inserts since it frustrated me so much in the past! Thanks for watching and the comment! ❤️

    I really love your inward cutting lines as trimming guides, could you share how you create those lines? What software did you use to make the cutting lines? Thank you so much!!!

    Totally agree about the guide line. Thanks for sharing this useful video and making printables easy to print and cut.
    By the way, I would really like to know how you create your crop marks. I try to make some inserts for my self and the result is always terrible...

    Thank you so much for this video! I just bought my first paper trimmer & it’s the Fiskars SureCut Plus (it’s the one with the aluminium enhancement on the wire part), but I’m not exactly sure how to know/see where it’ll cut? Have you had any experiences with that version of it? I’ve just had the time to test it out briefly yesterday evening so it might be that I just need some more practice, but thought I could ask anyway 🙈

      Glad it was helpful! Unfortunately I've never tried any other trimmer :( I'm sure with some practice you'll get it!

    Loved how informative this video was! What printer are you currently using? I’m looking for a duplex printer because my printer doesn’t print well when I try to do the manual double side printing.

      Thank you so much! I have an hp envy colour printer as well as a brother laser printer! If you’re looking for an inexpensive everything printer I highly recommend the hp envy! I think I have the 6400 series!

    But what do you do if your printable comes with the outward lines. I already purchased

      Unfortunately you just have to measure that last cut! 😞

    Do u use personal size inserts?

    Hello!! I´m having a problem printing the inserts "centered". I followed all the instructions (A4 paper, landscape, print at 100%, with acrobat reader etc..) and my printer can print both sides so i dont have to replace the paper to print the back side. Still my inserts are not centered. the line in the center of my page, is not in the same position front and back O_o is only my problem or? Imagine an A4 paper sheet, and draw a line in the middle as you would cut the paper to do 2 A5 pages. That line is not in the middle (both sides of the page!). My printer doesnt do borderless printing so i have no idea if acrobat is putting any "hidden margins" that skew my printing? anyone else got this problem?
    thanks if you will want to take the time to reply :)

      Definitely not just you! I’ve heard of this issue from other people and probably should have discussed it in the video but when you say it’s not centered do you mean both sides are exactly in the middle when you print double sided? If so, typically they won’t align exactly ie, a middle line on one side of the insert won’t be exactly the middle on the back might be off a mm or 2. This is where the design of the insert is important as to not accentuate this difference. If you’re finding though that all of your inserts are extremely off, then this gets a bit more finicky and is hard to figure out without seeing your actual print setup page.

    Which paper weight did you use?

    • @MomYePlans
      @MomYePlans  Před 3 lety +1

      The inserts in this video are just regular 20lbs copy paper however I do also like 32lbs premium paper as well but it is quite thick! 28lbs might be a good in between if you’re interested!

  • @barbra429

    What paper do you use?

    • @MomYePlans
      @MomYePlans  Před 2 lety

      I usually just use 20lbs copy paper but if you want something really heavy and premium I’d recommend 32lbs or 28lbs paper! I think I have it listed in the description of my more recent videos!
