The Akkala Citadel Ruins is probably the number one place I would think about when it comes to TotK. I hope it's opened up because it's so disappointing that we couldn't go inside of it in the normal game.
I feel like they will make the citadel a floating island, and if they add more dungeons, will make the citadel a dungeon, likely with plenty of guardians and malice.
I want to see the plateau rebuilt like it was in aoc

@@thefurrret That, or they make it into a giant dungeon, Hyrule castle style, with shitloads of undead enemies. Which would be cool.
There is a whole stage of Age of Calamity set in the Akkala citadel, if you want to explore it before it was destroyed!
the forgotten temple has always really intrigued me and seems like one of the most promising places that a dungeon could be added

I doubt they will disappoint us with it. Knowing the zelda team, and the fact we haven't seen anywhere inside of the canyon, theres probably something going on down there and that's why they are hiding the area.
The ranch ruins AKA Lon Lon Ranch, it’s just so interesting how so much of the kingdom has survived even after thousands of years also like the temple of time.
Lurelin Village has always been my favorite place to revisit. Its beautiful, especially at sunset. Its also the only village to be on the coastline of Hyrule.
Zeltic made an awesome point in one of his videos that relates to this. He talked about how in OoT, going from the child Hyrule, to the adult Hyrule (Even though it was essentially the same map), seeing how everything changed was really emotionally impactful. I think that's how many of us will feel playing ToTK.
I would love to see what they do with Hyrule castle and the village around it. I love your idea of revitalizing and rebuilding ruined locations and I think hyrule castle itself would be super fun to be able to explore in it's former glory. Maybe hyrule civilians could roam around the town and in the castle going about their days giving link some fun side quests.
I was surprised the ice cave wasn't in this list, that was really the only big cave that was in Breath of the Wild, and it looked amazing!
Yes, the Ice Cave is absolutely beautiful!
The north side of the Gerudo highlands has some interesting scaffolding areas, and the normal canyon scaffolding areas are pretty fun to go through, as they are kind of linear. Botw could have used some more semi-linear challenges.
Thyphlo Ruins is a huge mystery. Palmorae Ruins looks like it could be the entrance to something. And Mount Agaat in Western Gerudo Highlands is fully part of the map but totally inaccessible.

Botw was actually a breath of fresh air. Such a refreshing and new feel to a game with old lore.

Honestly I love this game a lot. I can’t wait to explore this game but with (one of my favorite concepts in fantasy period) sky islands.
My brother wants to play this game but is deciding not to after finding out that the first game’s world will change a bit but not too much and that the story was very light (he plans to watch lore videos and stuff)
So he thought it would keep him busy to explore Hyrule and the sky islands of the first time. Like that’s literally so much content, plus we have the caves and underground as well.
Location: The Great Plateau, there was a lot of space, and they could use some more of it, like maybe the Shrine of Ressurection collapses and you have to enter it or something...
Also a good idea to play Breath of the Wild while waiting for Tears of the Kingdom. I started re-playing the whole adventure as a warm up for TOTK, then stopped after Mario Kart 8 Deluxe announced Wave 4, and promised to pick back up before TOTK.
I can't wait for TOTK! I've been trying to 100% BOTW before the sequel's release!
I often think of these holes and craters and wanted more of them. Can't wait for totk!
There is little houses and let’s say huts throughout the game, my daughter and I love the game and still play today, trying to find all the seeds and complete 100%. But yes we both had said many times it would be awesome to see what it looked like with the houses/ huts built and folks living in them. Almost like the SNES game, we had the thieves in the forest and the leader in the village hiding etc. just more of a population throughout game. And not just at stables and 1-2 characters walking on roads or at key locations. I hope they have more villages and out of the way locations with people and houses as well. The 3-4 major villages is not enough it a game so vast. But I know they are limited to what they could fit on the chip. Hopefully the new algorithm to store more info fixed that issue and we see a ton more like u mentioned. The game itself is already built for the most part, they just had to find away to shrink file size and fit all together. I hope they added more than just new fighting mechanisms like they showed linking materials together so on.
5:17 the Akkala Citadel ruins could be a nice place to have a Dungeon on it

Definitely want to revisit Korok forest!! From the trailers, the forest seems to be missing so definitely changes there...
After 6 years the only thing I haven’t completed is finding all the korok seeds. I still had 6 to find. Revisiting one of the places I found one. Five to go. Thank you.
That Koro I mask is such a help. I would run around wildly til it shook and then go crazy trying to figure out where it was /why it shook where it did
@@Madeoftea I been using the mask and it has helped, but I’m down to four korok seeds and hyrule is such a big place it’s like looking for needles in a haystack. I’ve tried following guides for korok seeds in each region, but with no luck. It’s almost like the last few seeds aren’t there.
I found a spoiler for Tears of the Kingdom whilst replaying BotW. Talking to Shamae after the ballon quest they speak about ‘Children see the kingdom in the sky’
That is incredible, it reminds me how they say kids can see ghosts because they’re more innocent and open minded than adults. I can imagine when the Sky barrier breaks in TOTK kids will be like “I TOLD YOU SO”
I'm hoping that by "change the game world" they possibly mean some kind of terraforming and house/base building. I imagine a giant magical green hand would be pretty good at scooping up the ground and placing it elsewhere. As well as the vehicle goop stuff for building houses.
when you mentioned a structure in the Pikida Stonegrove area I immediately thought of Snowpeak Ruins. maybe they used to be there and were destroyed to hide potential evidence of.... something (i forgot what the main theories linking snowpeak ruins to the royal family are!)

In totk the first place I'm gonna check is the shrine of resurrection I mean even if we can't go in there has to be at least a reference to botw
my fav spot is the tip of death mountain easily reachable by exiting or/and teleporting to completed Vah Rudania, it also gives you a clear monster-free path to Akala tower ( A very hard tower!)

I love the idea that we could change the geography. Imagine finding your way blocked by a huge boulder that can't be bombed, then **voila** move the ground around (time or whatever) and that boulder isn't there anymore. That would be genius.
In a way, I don't want to see the villages already rebuilt. I want to see it partially rebuilt and we as the player can help fund and get materials for it. Like Tarrytown. Seeing as there multiple villages across the land. There should be a lot of hours of us putting care into them that we can savour.
Until the end of the game starts skyward all over again.
I'd actually be interested in seeing the Arbiters Ground or maybe the Yiga hideout explored more.
I think deya village ruins is in the same boat as Omni Plains tbh
I'm hoping they expand many of the settlements across the map I can see many becoming bigger in the brief period of peace between games.
The other thing I'm hoping they do is have a revitalized Castle Town provided it isn't brought up into the sky with the castle they could easily turn it into a more involved Tarrey town where through various quests you help rebuild the town and unlock shops with stuff across the map.
there is a random ruin i once found a bit east of the typhlo ruins, there was nothing but a korok there
I kinda hope we get to see more stuff happen with the Forgotten Temple. Why was it abandoned? Are there some sort of secret passages in there we can find? Just more stuff about it would be cool. Same with the Lanayru Promenade and labyrinths
I'm really curious about what happened to the shrine where you get the tunic of the wild set
Inb4 there's a massive stone boulder at the bottom of Lake Hylia that fits in the hole in Hylia Island and was pushed out by the shrine.
The gerudo tower's hole and the hole where kohga died !
There is a spot to the east of Lanayru called Talus Plateau.
Ism't that the one with a hinox on top instead of a talus?! I found that to be really funny.

It's not in breath of the wild, but I have a feeling that they could bring back skyloft in tears of the kingdom. I've been wondering this ever since the E3 2021 trailer.
Same! It doesn't even have to be a location like Kakariko Village, it can be just a ruin, like the Ranch Ruins, just a subtle nod.
I’m still playing through the DLC in BOTW, trying to make as much progress in the game before TOTK comes out
Skylands came from the ground caves should exist for that, rubble fell down bridging things, collapsing things, blocking things, and even dungeons probably never flew up with all the islands some likely are janky and stuck on the ground. Maybe I am wrong though. This is also advance a few years probably.
My only complaint (if I can call it that) about BOTW is that I would have liked to have seen more villages, I hope what you suggested regarding expansion of towns and interactions with NPC etc happens in TOTK. :)
well there's technically villages all over the place.. it's just almost all are ruins.
I hope that master Kohga isn't actually dead and you can find him in the caves in tears of the kingdom

I dont think next game will have a post calamity cenery i think it goes back in the early timeline of zelda skyward sword... So probably we wont have ritos for example in the game. It will be interesting to see the differences between maps yes. But i think it will evoke a different time and era in the zelda timeline

I think the breach of Demise is gonna be important, according to masterworks, it was highly thought out and developed, but.. wasn't used for ANYTHING...

I've replayed botw atleast a dozen times, with atleast 2 completionist runs.
The only game I've ever played with more replayability had been mine craft, which in itself is a freak of nature.
If totk becomes half as repayable as botw but is a better game, ill be enthused to spend 70.00usd on a game.😊

I wish the villages were rebuilt but let’s be real, the Zelda team never does that even when it should make sense. From the trailers, it looks like Link and Zelda are both very young, and this villain is destroying all of Hyrule. Again.

You're being a little too hopeful about the kingdom being rebuilt. If you watch the trailer as you can tell that whatever's happening, is happening not shortly after the events of breath of the wild. In reality in order for a kingdom to start to rebuild takes at least a couple generations to rebuild, this being a videogame and using video game logic it would at least take one generation to build a kingdom backup. There could be signs of reconstruction. But hoping that entire Durham settlements are rebuild its kind of hoping for too much my opinion. And wouldn't make any sense from a lore pov
