If he had hired the gunmen for his protection , he wouldn't have been killed so easily and untimely. Rajeev Roy a well known film producer also got threats from underworld. He timely informed police and got police protection. When underworld attacked on him, not only his police guards failed that attack but also encountered the gunmen who came to kill him. I have no idea why Gulshan Kumar didn't take threats seriously.
