we are back for an account update of the june variety
finally finished the +25 in this last month, which was a nice surprise bc i ended up yoloing into it because i was sad over mushroom game starring LOL. aside from that just talking about where my income goes because (some) people seem to be surprised pikachu face when i have anything above 50k gold for some reason. in addition, i talk about the overall plan of my account which is to push 1620s to prep for t4 because i think that will set me up best for success

With solo raids around the corner this upcoming month, and just hitting my LoS30 AND 1620 on my main within the same week, I've taken a step back from the game for a bit. And with most of the static taking breaks, indefinite or otherwise, I've not had much motivation to get on as of late. Still wanna finish my 40 set since I only need one more 8 or better (only...) and I've not got around to getting them from the event. But with not having people to play with, and not having too much outside of waiting for solo raids...I rather go do other things for a bit.
Hopefully solo mode is good enough, cause I am looking forward to getting alts built up for once...hell since 1370~1415 was the best parking spot anyway.

High end bracelets still sell for multiple hundreds of k. 3 granted + high spec/crit is just such a unicorn, you will only see it maybe once or twice a year.

Wise decisions - looking forward to solo raids although they are only normal modes I really hope they will get newer players getting into it easier

you should definitely still be checking bracelets. Sold a few 80-100k bracelets in the past 2 weeks.

question: is it at all worth it to pick the game back up now? or wait till t4 or maybe neither? i have one character on 1580, no los 30, no 10gems, a couple of 1540's... i feel like the wall between me and players like you/most active players is insurmountable

If you want to play T4 come back now and get as much of the free power events that expire in 3 weeks you can.
But to be honest..I can’t recommend you coming back until after hearing the July end game acceleration event/T4 launch in Korea.
The reason is even if you return and start getting the next level of honing gear, you need to tap each piece of gear 7 times to get to 1620 for T4…and then you will still be down about 50% power! (Elixirs and transcendence is almost 50% power when combined).

At the very least, wait until solo raids. If progression event is good, come back to that. Otherwise wait for T4.
Tbh, if you want the best chance at T4, playing the game now is it when it comes to farming gold you need for T4. However if the game has you burnt out so much, wait a bit.

The only reason to come back is express passes. They're worth multiple hundreds of K and give you a free high level character. My account is better than Brother Chris's and I'm only a $200 andy, but even I still have problems getting into raids as there's always the Eclipse whales sitting at 1630+ with full transcendences gatekeeping. The treadmill in this game never ends.

I wonder how long it will take me to get 1600-1640 from 1370, 1490, and 1520. I quit about a year ago and am coming back for solo raids.

I quit before clown release at 1505 and came back for kayangel release. I'm now sitting at 1646. You can do it!

No swiping but doing all the good stuff possible…2-3 months for your first character with the two endgame help events. But you would still lack everything else which would take about a year.

I transferred around 400k to a fresh alt roster 3-4 months ago. The roster now has a 1615 Breaker and 5 paladins at 1550 with 300k gold. It's a lot of hard work to start fresh with a lot of gatekeeping. The bottleneck is mostly shards and silver more than gold right now. Gold starts to become an issue around 1600 ilvl. It takes forever to hit level 60, let alone card sets, roster level, runes, engravings, etc.
Basically, don't bother unless you have express events to help you out as that's the only reason I have a high level character on the roster.

How much cash have you spent in your Lost Ark carreer? As in USD?
