I love playing Volibear in poc but I still have to recover from the trauma of ai randomly nabbing my flash freeze, using it to save their butt, randomly rolling ledros with it and since they had the swain-adventure-power which doubles skill-damage they one-shot my nexus with it.
My main problem with path of champions right now is that it is to f2p player unfriendly. The game makes it incredibly difficult to get past 3 stars with any champion as f2p due to how you obtain star fragments and nova crystals. If I'm not mistaken the only way to get star fragments f2p is from the 5.5 star nightmare weekly and the monthly challenges. The monthly however requires you to get to 20 and 50 wins which is incredibly grindy and only gives a chance of getting a small amount of star fragments for the champion you need. The nightmare weekly on the other hand is incredibly difficult and barring bashing your head against a wall until you get duplicate and a good support camp and good rng drawing the cards you need it is incredibly difficult to beat the 5.5 or above star weekly without using champions with more than 3 stars which you don't have because you can't get the star fragments leading to this awful cycle that makes me not want to play.
Do your dailies and finish the quests and you should be in good condition to clear the more difficult content, the game is quite generous with the ammount of rewards you can gain from winning adventures with different champions, atleast that’s how I did it as f2p
Sounds like just don't like grinding or you're relatively new to the game which is fine... but if it wasn't like this, there'd be no game. PvP was incredibly generous. PvE is as generous but has proper monetization now. If they made everything available for free, why'd anyone bother to buy any of the bundles and stuff? If there's no money earned, the game can't operate... So... yea.
Pyke feels so weird in higher adventures, I have him 4 stars but he feels so weak against these adventures but then in smaller adventures he feels insane🤷🏼♂️
True as hell. Beat Lissandra with him after more than a dozen attempts because he was my only 4 star, but the swain adventure breaks my man in the first or second battle always. Though beating Lissandra did give me a Nova crystal and like 40 stars though so I can 6 Pyke man in about 2 months
I would agree with your take about these weekly nightmares if they weren't so hard for f2p. I don't have some of those op epic relics and they usually makes these adventures really easier but having to wait for 1 entire month to get another gold relic is so 😫
Aggro decks are punished in higher difficulties. A control or sustain deck is what shines in those difficulties since enemies are extremely over-statted
I'm curious if they would ever have a crazy encounter that's the opposite of It that Stares. i.e. 'I start at 10 mana and lose 1/2 mana crystals every turn' Maybe a Ziggs miniboss or some Shurima unit since Shurima's known to destroy their own crystals
Can someone explain why he rarely played Morgana during the Voli run? Curse on play + ephemeral copy + life steal + mana deposit, even better if played on defensive turn after the AI drops a big unit. Like bro, you can play Voli after blocks or if the AI summons another unit after Morg no?
I win with Ashe...the run was good until the last battle bc i forget completely about Formidable xD But despise tht somehow i won lol, i love this new adventures
The reason Voli pulls Eddie from Portal Pals is cos Voli is part of Eddie's region(6+ cost units) which further allows him to get other champs who qualify
One of the larger issues with all of them Nightmares having Deadly is that it can completely nullify any champs that rely on stats or tempo, and that being a blanket statement isn't fun

I think its mainly that you are not late game enough to beat stuff. I have gotten a lot of stuff

"Deadly" power + the fact the enemies start with a minion AND summon possibly 1-2 more doesnt help

I think the thresh encounter last hard level last week had commander ledrose which led to 0 counter play insta death💀
i think for jinx the best one its not sorcery but either spellslinger( reduce spells in 1) or the viktor effect (created cards cost one less)
