  • In true Biltwell fashion, the entire smorgasbord of spare and ex-race parts were gathered into a pile and massaged into another fully functioning dirt bike, courtesy of regular Biltwell collaborator, Rob ‘Rouser’ Galan. Dubbed the ‘Spare Parts Sportster,’

I'd love a bulleted spec sheet! This is the sickest offroad sportster build I've seen

Where can I get a parts list and or a DIY build kit for this bike?

I second that. I stumbled upon this after a day of trying to trade my 04 for an adv

@cockroachking666 These Elkas were custom made for us when raced the original Frijole in the NORRA Mexican 1000 in 2018. We used the spare set we had for the race bike on this one but changed springs to deal with the heavier load on back with bags, fuel, etc

I recently won an old iron head sportster in a raffle but my plan was for my next bike to be an ADV bike. This video is really validating for the crazy ideas I was fomenting for the new scoot.

I've had the same idea and it's not crazy. It's beautiful.

Do you have the spec’s available for the front and rear shock valving and spring rates?

    This is amazing!
hope you don't mind if I slowly rip off your whole build (and then customize it to make it mine).
I really want one for forest fire roads.

2:10 "define the mission", figure out what you need the motorcycle to do is probably the single most underrated concept in custom bike building. If you don't have a clear answer to the question, put them wrenches down and figure it out first.

Yup! Everything starts once that is decided otherwise it's easy to keep changing directions and never actually get a project done!

I recently built a comparable one from a '96 1200 Sport, It sold on the first day it was on Craigslist. Shudakeptit.

Harley tried, and built the ulysses. Done. Even decades before it wasn’t harley, but aermacchi that provided the technology for the dirt bikes.
That sportster is a joke, but that’s what custom projects can be about and that is great, let it be and forget the false arguments you come up with to fill a video.
