This is my full brand identity design process from start to finish that I follow when designing and creating a brand for brand design clients. Follow these simple brand design process steps and learn how to create a brand from scratch.
In this video, I create a visual identity for a brand called Sunbliss. This is not a real company - I created the brand simply to show how to create branding for this branding and identity design video for beginners and students.
For the this company brand identity design project, I will create do primary research and create a brand strategy, look at their target audience and competitor analysis, design a primary logo, designer a secondary logo, desig a landscape logo version, source and create brand colours using a simple tip (the colour guide in Adobe illustrator), decide on a photography style moodboard, create a brand pattern, think of a brand icon and lastly, create beautiful packaging design for their product: suncream.
I aim to help teach beginner graphic designers and students how to level up your graphic design and brand design skills to get more freelance design clients and make graphic design your full time job. Become a better graphic designer today!

It is just a compact version of the logo. It’s best used for smaller spaces (where the horizontal logo won’t fit) 😃 hope this help! Thanks for watching

How do you know when to use procreate and/or illustrator?

Procreate is a raster based software (made using pixels) and Illustrator is a vector software (made using lines and points). It just depends on the type of work you are doing. I will make a video explaining the difference between raster and vector and which is used for what :)

I have a question, do you have to give packaging designs as well in branding design? And what format does a branding design is usually delivered in? I am still learning so I had this beginner questions. Btw this video was one of my fav, as if the logo wasn't impressive enough, you made those mock products, I was blown away!! This is great, but when designing a visual identity, should it include print measurements or just display the identity visually?

Great question! 😃 When presenting work to clients, no. But on the final files, yes! So if there are any print designs (specifically packaging) then I will add measurements to the final design files. The client can then take that file to the printers and they will be able to print it correctly.

But otherwise the brand identity document (especially the presentation) won’t have printers marks, measurements and so on.
