I will never forget Alex Newell's heartbreakingly brilliant 'If I was a Boy' on GLEE one of a number of songs on the series that made me cry like a baby… congrats on all your well deserved and earned success.

When Ryan Murphy was going to send him home and asked could he do anything other than "that". Referring to him and drag which they put him in once and he did for his elimination. Then wrote a non-binary trans performer on the show and cast him. ICONIC
‘If I were a boy’ was one of the best renditions ever! The best version after Beyonce’s. Alex’s voice is darn good! Love!
I just love how much more down to earth he (they?) seem these days. Back when Glee was airing I remember thinking there was a bit too much arrogance, but maybe it was just him being so young and not knowing how to balance a private life with the public persona. Also, as he said, his character was historic in a way, since it was one of the first ones to be given such a huge platform and be so widely presented to an audience
I wish Glee was back on the air. I miss it so much!

@@benwalker4305 Katy was the girl Ryder was talking to for a few weeks and was soon revealed that Ryder was being catfished by Unique. It kind of gives a negative rep. to the LGBT and the general audience will think that these people are fishing out straights. They should of gave Unique a more positive storyline to represent them much better...

I am not trans or nonbinary. This song affects me every time I hear it. I do not know what I am. It makes me want to protect everyone who is hurt. Makes me want to be a real man.
He sound like a guy just on a very light tenor spectrum of the tenor but he does uses breathy quality to sound feminine . He trying to sound intermediate between a very light bright tenor and a low Contralto woman

Ryan has this habit of making wonderful shows then screwing them up. Glee was wonderful, but it also did the most awful things and by the end had lost any kind of focus. Alex was one of the good things though. He's just an extraordinary talent who would have gone unnoticed without the show,

That was very heavily edited to make it more dramatic and interesting. They did the same thing to Lindsay Pearce.
Hun, that dark ring around you neck needs to go. Especially with a lighter foundation tone. Either bring down the foundation. Or try to loose some weight and use a toner cleanser and lotion that area more. You should be using more lotion on your creases your elbows and knees between the weight and the dry skin issues with black skin. I have the same issues though I don’t where make up so it’s not as noticeable. And I was able to make it lighter with a better cleaning and lotion regimen.

Gender has for a long time in modern culture been split into a binary: men/boys and women/girls.
A person who is non-binary has a gender identity that does not fit neatly into those pre-defined boxes. They are somewhere in-between, or a combination, or sometimes they feel as though they do not have any gender at all.
Non-binary literally means "does not fit into the binary."
Alex was on Glee for over 40 episodes so it seems pretty difficult to imagine you would somehow completely not remember them on the show.
