What are you using for wing and tail type settings? There are better/cheaper batteries than those Spektrum’s; however, they won’t give you individual cell voltages via telemetry. I only have one EDF that has an Avian ESC anyway.

On this model it has a built in mixing box so you use normal wing type setup.
If found that using a Telementry reciever that has a volts plug,you can run the black and red wire to your esc battery plug.That way you can run any lipo battery that isn't Spektrum and still get your voltage when flying.i have a IX12 tx so get Callouts.
I've switched to smc Racing Lipos.

@@sendit_rc Yep, SMC are the best. I’ve read that you shouldn’t hook up the black wire when using an ESC.

@@sendit_rc I wonder what’s in that mixing box. I’ve read that you can put the left canard and the right elevon on one Y-harness and the right canard and left elevon on a second Y-harness. I assume you have to set your wing type to elevons, but the AS3X/SAFE receivers know how to handle that. I haven’t tried it, but according to what I’m seeing on the monitor screen, it might actually work.

Mine is a Fms model.totally different than the Freewing gripen.you want to use elevon b wing type.
