I don’t think I’ve ever seen dreads this healthy looking. What a hard working mom!
So fresh and so clean clean 😂
When your mom is a dope hairdresser, your a lucky kid🤔.
Can i tell u
My mom is, and im living the life bc i dont have to pay for ir
Trust
My mom has Arthritis😭

I hate u because ur so lucky! 😠😅😅👍🏽
His hair looks amazing after not twisting for 8 months! His hair and scalp looks so healthy!
Not all Hair will accept this, base on the texture of the hair
Thank you for allowing your son to have some agency over his body and hair at a young age, I truly believe that will make a great impact on him growing up. I wish more parents allowed their children to be free to choose.
I was thinking that same thing. I got so many perms against my wishes.
What do you use
I swear freshly twisted dreads look so good making me want them
Same
As a Caucasian woman I have some deep jealousy! Haha. I’m just grateful I have clients I can do this on!
Don't do it lol you gotta love them through the process because alot of the time your hair won't be freshly twisted especially if you want them healthy😌
@@ladyhat8251 real deal, that retwist only last a week or two and then its back regular. i actually prefer when the retwist grows out . all the slick and shine for me looks too feminine. a fresh taper and line does the job over the shinny retwist look for me as a dude. lil man has some boss man locs for sure though
Get them, get them!!!
Omg his locs are just beautiful!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
He got good hair and also cause not no crazy gel chemicals keeps his hair healthy and natural
He or she eat pork
@@judenewilliams4470 what
His hair looks amazing, I wanna try lots with my natural hair
@@vuks-fj7fl lol
My siblings are mixed so I try and learn how to do their hair. But my son has sensory processing disorder as well, and I think you’re a great mom and are very attentive and respectful to your child how he needs.
I have twin sons with autism, so I can definitely relate when it comes to the sensory issues and hair washing. 😊
It's really sad that every time you make a video, you have to defend what you have said or did in your videos. This is your channel and your video content. I don't know why this bothers me so...lol. Anywho you do an amazing job. I wish you were in Maryland cause I would be coming to you!
@DaBlackCherry Yes! And it honestly gets on my nerves.
Lol I wish I didn’t but ppl get out of pocket. Thank you love 💕
@@DXlocs dem lucky you're so respectful, lol, I would send them up unda dem....
Right go to a another channel. What’s with these people are they the judge police lol.
@@JahleeyahKalonji it's one of the reasons she's able to maintain so many subscribers. Being respectful and not attacking back. It's not right for people to judge but if you go attacking everyone that makes a comment you disagree with - you're ..
A. Giving into negativity , feeding the trolls and sometimes attacking someone who genuinely meant no harm.
B. Engaging in a perpetual useless excercise . There will always be naysayers and I doubt she has the time or concern to address them all . Also I'd imagine that would eventually take it's toll.
C. Potentially pushing other subscribers away. There's an old saying "Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference ."
At most this uploader puts out a friendly disclaimer and goes on about her day. That pisses people off who look to get a rise out of her even more.
The last time I retwisted my hair, I only used oil and water after seeing your last no gel retwist video.. my hair did well!! If it wasn't for you I never would have attempted a retwist with no holding product!! Thank you💛
foeva Ro word.. I’ve gone through a variety of gel brands with ors purple top gel being the last but itchy scalp and sweat usually followed gel applications. So I tried an oil mixture I made at home. Light oil application. Retwisted and two strand twisted to hold. And it’s my go to product. Took trial and error but I trust myself and have no problem blaming myself for issues I come into (none yet, but accountability is key)
I can't get my husband to realize this!
I now know that my hair can hold amazingly well without product. I even tried just water and it did great
My hair does great for a few days. Then.....
@lover of girls ent. Interlock?
I love how knowledgeable you are about loc’s and I love how confident you are as well!! Thank you for showing these videos for beginners like me! I appreciate it!
Love how you put so much care into his hair!
0:48 Yeah this the plaque for those who leave positive vibes. Yall who are bringing the negativty... this aint your plaque! 🤣🤣🤣
Bindi Marc periodT 🤣🤣
POOH!!!
EXCLAMATION POINT
you tell them
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm sorry I had to pull that back.... I bathed my babies (all three boys) until they were 10 and I don't give two $h@ts who wants to tell me anything. I didn't trust them to wash everything properly. They did wash their privates by themselves but I did everything else so please don't let anyone tell you nothing about YOUR children 😂 mek dem gwan
solange Williams I was thinking the same thing. My son when he showers is all over the place flipping and acting crazy. Nah son come do this bath real quick! Lol
@@litebright1720 lol exactly... Washing everything but themselves 😂😂😂
@@solangeWilliams Some people have no problems with their renking pumpum, BUT not this Jamaican family. No tinkin punny and buddy roun here. I'll them until I'm sure sure they can do it by themselves.
Exactly!!! You will get this island scrub down 🤣🤣 I still bathe him on occasion for a good deep cleaning.
Yep, same here. My son is 9 and I still bathe him. I let him do his thing first then I give a once over just to make sure!
I love the patience and care you show for your family’s hair!! I’m 3yrs loc’d so is one of my son’s I have been learning to retwist my son’s hair can’t wait until we reach our 5yr mark!!
You’re such a great mom, and the growth is amazing❤️❤️
That's your baby and you can baby him as long as you want. I think you've done a great job with his hair. I love it. I'm tryna go all of March without a retwist.
AMEN May The LORD HEAR US🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🤲🏾🤲🏾🤝
watching his updates are always crazy. i be like this dude is getting grown as fuck lol. his hair is wonderful!! honestly goals.
ari a you aren’t lying 😂😂 he was just a little 4 year old with baby locs 😢
I have been watching a lot of channels on youtube and yours is the only one who breaks it down and shows exactly how to twist it the loc. Thank you for doing that.
Thank you for sharing your son's loc journey. I started locs on my son a year ago, and he is like your boy. He never wants to wear a head wrap, and always wants to get them wet, and he has so much lint. I don't twists his constantly because he doesn't like it and I was encouraged by older ladies with locs to let him be free. So, I do. Of course, I get judged but, we don't care. All I care about is that is hair is healthy and he's happy. Seeing your son's hair and hearing how he acts with is dreads, let's me know that we are normal. Thanks so much!
Omg so much progress! I can’t believe how much he’s grown. Such a handsome little man. So blessed
Chantre Kingwood you can do it! My last retwist was 1/3/20!
His hair really fire af. I like the fade 👌🏽
I'm so glad I found your video. I started my hair in twists during pregnancy and decided to let them lock up. Fast forward and I'm five months postpartum and haven't been able to go out to get my hair retwisted! Between the pregnancy prenatals and transitioning into motherhood in general, this new growth is insane! Now I can try and attack it on my own with a bit more confidence.
I’m so glad I found this. I’m 4weeks in my journey. I didn’t want to use any locing products. I’m so glad you don’t use any!! I’m inspired
He has such beautiful hair. Much respect for letting him make his own decisions in regard to his hair and look.
I JUST LOVE THE CARE AND TIME YOU TAKE IN DOING ZION'S HAIR AS WELL AS EVERYONE ELSE.
SO much respect for you, your knowledge, the process, and all the work that goes into this amazing craft ♡
You're a great mom! My kids also hate getting water on their forehead face ears... Especially at 4-7 but I notice they are less anxious the older they be one-that's in part because I am careful and respect their needs. Good job. His locs are beautiful!
It's crazy how simple your method is and how clean the retwist came out.
I'm trying to be patient with my loc up,
Go!! Zion shake them gorgeous locs❤️
About to start my girl 's locs journey.I needed to see this. Thank you and your boy's hair is anazing..
I came here just cause the title reads retwist with no gel. Thanks for sharing this sis. I love what you said about using the right technique for your twists to last. I'll be trying that out for my next retwist. Keep sharing such videos!
The care you put behind all your clients hair shows 🙌🏿
Thanks for sharing your son's loc journey. His locs are beautiful!
His hair looks so healthy, thank you for this video!
Thank you for showing how to do this. I have had the hardest time finding and keeping a hair stylist for my locs the entire 6 years. I came here frustrated wanting to learn to do it myself and this made it so easy to learn. ❤❤
He’s so cute! Beautiful locs. Just started my second set and helping to maintain my little bros, so I loved seeing it step by step
His hair has grown so much. I absolutely love your work. It’s very minimalistic but so neat.
Such beautiful work! Thank you for sharing your journey together. I’m just learning how to loc and I’m grateful for any videos I can find to educate myself and well done videos like this are few and far between. Muchas gracias! ❤️
Congratulations on the play button! I haven’t been here since the very beginning only bout a year or so but I have aspirations to loc my hair up and Zion is my loc goals honestly!
Congrats again on surpassing 100k subbies. And Zion's locs are gorgeous and healthy looking.
Oh yeah! And he is growing up before our eyes. Such a handsome fella and I love his locks!
Update! I did my first twist with only using oil and water... worked like a charm! I love it and my hair is so soft
Sunni Day love it!!
What type of oul
@@monicajohnson5021 My hair works well with coconut oil.
Zion is a handsome little prince, OMG!! His hair is amazing! Good job mama. I'm soooooo tempted to loc my daughters hair, too. Congrats on the YT Award. Your videos are awesome.
I really wish I would have found your channel when my husband had locs. He has a bald spot on the top of his head due to tight retwists. Plus we didn't even consider NOT using products to retwist. I love your channel! This is great!
I'm inspired! I'll be three months locd in 4 days and so far I've had my locs washed and retwisted twice. I want to start maintaining my locs myself, but I've been scared that the retwist won't hold or will look crazy. I also want to retwist without gel and this video has encouraged me to try it! Thank you for sharing your son's loc journey with us!
I just discovered your channel and I have to tell I can’t sleep without something playing in the background. I use to play movies but it never let me get that deep relaxing sleep. I listen to your voice and so help me it’s the best sleep I ever had. It’s the most calming thing ever to me. Also, thanks for the advice lol!
My hubby, has dreads and he has really fine hair.. tonight before I saw your video I did his hair using gel but now gurl.. I will try this dread style without using the gel.. thank you so much! Your son hair looks amazing and I’m glad to have found your channel. Thanks sis❤️
He's so handsome!! I use your technique to start my son's locks. You're great!
The care and love she takes with caring for her son is truly something to at which to marvel.
Well done.
Oh my godddd!!! That retwist is AMAZINNN! Wowwwwww!
Thank you for doing this, I've needed so much help with hair care for years!! And this is a huge help
Very nice...good job I'm growing my locks (I did them) it's been 3 years ...I love your technique thank you for sharing!
This video is awesome!! It really helped with learning the process so I can help with my partners hair. thank you so much for being so detailed with your products and reasons why you do each method! your son is so handsome too!! 🖤
There are absolutely NO WORDS to describe this AMAZING *BLACK QUEEN* ♥️🖤💚
His hair and your work is amazing!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Gel and other products were flaking and irritating my partners scalp, this is perfect and actually looked better at two weeks! Thank you!
Love this video. Started my Locs a little over a year ago and I’ve only had my hair professionally retwisted once. Now with this pandemic and all I’ve tried to retwist my own Locs about 3 weeks ago and I already look due for another retwist. I like the point you made about having to find which oil works for our own hair and scalp. My Locs are loose and a bit dry...just trying to figure out how to maintain them
I love that you respect his choices for his body, mama! Thanks for the help
Sheesh!!! Zion has come a long way! Love it!!!
Zion's locks are amazing! So beautiful and thick. I love his undercut also. Congrats on your plaque, Queen!
Sometimes I wish my hair was as thick and beautiful as his. I guess the little bit of Native American in me decided to give me fine and thin hair, so my retwists last about 2 weeks. But I embrace the frizz and messy hair because I find it part of my aesthetic.
You a crochet needle from the beauty supply thank me later
My hair is medium not fine not coarse. retwist last a week maybe two. I hate that part.
Thank you for this post! I just started my locs from two strains twists and came across your video! I’m going to use this method for my first retwist
Thanks for the detailed advice. Didn't know how I was going to retwist my hair without loc gel. Now I know!!! You are AWESOME!!!!
Zion has the best locs confirmed
Girllll, dont worry about what other ppl say. Looks to me like ur doing a great job. As long as ut getting the result u want, keep doing what ur doing. I just started my lock journy around the beginning of December 2021 and i have to use some type of holding product because i have like mix ppl hair so if i dont use something imma have a head ful of spiral curls. But u did a great job.
Girl I subbed over this video. I’m 2years loc’d in October and need to train my hair to loc w/o my loc gel. Excellent travail, j'adore. J’adore.
Gurl congrats on 💯 tho subs yes his 🔒'S has came a long way continuous blessings 2u&ur fam 4eva🔒'D
I was watching this for myself because I want to start my own loc journey and I'm thinking about locking my son's hair. I just wanted to say thank you for what you said about cutting his sides and the undercut. My son is 4 and was diagnosed with Autism w/sensory processing disorder and speech delay. Hair washing has been such a challenge for us. I realized listening to you that when he has a mohawk cut, wash days are easier for him. I just wanted to say thanks for sharing that insight. It is greatly appreciated.
Platinumga543 my pleasure! I used to work with autistic children. It can be a challenge but when you finally figure at least one thing out, it’s awesome.
That's how i intend for my locs to look. Just lock that!!! FREEDOM!!!!
His hair is gorgeous....I have been learning from your videos. My son started locking during Covid and is obsessed with his hair. Thank you so much for these videos....
I love this!!! Going to try that oil out for sure. I've had major breakage from locticians forcing a grid pattern when hair has always had a free-form pattern.
I have learned so much from your channel. I'm on my 3rd set of locs and with each set I never used gel. Same with my husbands hair. Only jojoba oil, although we have tried coconut oil, but neither of our hair liked it.
After watching your 1 year no retwist, my husband stopped retwisting his hair as much and it's crazy but most of his loose strands have gone back into his locs. But thank you so much for these videos.
Love it 🇭🇹🇭🇹 I just started my journey about 3 weeks ago
Thank you!!! This was my favorite video from all the others researched on here. Started my Starter locks three months and had two retwists since, I prefer one wash/retwist every month. Unfortunately, My third retwist is left up to me due to the quarantine pandemic right now. I’m going to follow your method! My hair is about thick as your sons. Thank you!!!!
Look at that baby’s hairrr! Omg, beautiful!
Wow you’re son is gorgeous ! Beautiful skin and hair😍 I have to pay you a visit whenever I get a chance to go back to Florida.
Congratulations 🎉🎈🍾🎊 on 100,000 subscribers. This is my first time watching. Beautiful job on the re twist!
tiffaney piper thank you!!
You’re welcome
Omg! I’m soo happy I found your video! Will help me retwist my son’s locs. Big money saver!
Instantly subscribed! Keep going. I like how you keep it simple.
Lol when shook his hair 14:40 😂😂 you guys are a beautiful family 💕💕
Omg I’m so glad I came across this video for 2 reasons..my bf just locd his hair so I was learning how to retwist when the time came AND your son havin sensory problems..I never knew the name for one of twins are like this..he’s 4 and it takes so long to brush his teeth cause he hates the water and toothpaste on his hand/face! 🥰🥰🥰 following
Honey listen I love how you take care of your baby boy locs!! I feel like anyone with anything negative to say is hating on the fact that they haven’t found and mastered their own technique and that is fine. I had a problem with lint as well and I started using a hard brush when I condition my locs it’s been 3 years and the lint is down from that and me wrapping them up. I enjoyed this video 🥰🥰
Wow i just started my daughters locs and cannot wait till she’s at this stage!
That is so amazing “our” plaque! I am so proud of you and congratulations! 👍🏽👏🏾
Gypsy Curls thank you 🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
You have the Midas touch!
I love his hair and the way you do his retwist. Don't mind the trolls sweetie, block them! You keep doing what you do regardless of what the ignorant people have to say. You can do everything right and trolls will always have a problem with what you do. Stay motivated girl!!
This is great! Thank you for this Queen! This is definitely going to help me and my son's loc journey!
Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful locs! I want to try this with my son. He only has locs on the top and I also retwist when he wants. We(there are 2 others with locs in the house) use a lot of gel and spritz and I know that's not good for the hair. Im excited to try oil only. Thanks for the vid! Subscribing!!
I just want to take a moment to appreciate how you did NOT WRING your child's hair while washing it. You're a pro.
Man them locs are so clean !!!
you are amazing! love your content 2 months into my loc journey
I envy his hair from the beginning to the end every video every retwist I have watched it’s amazing . I don’t even know him and I’m proud of his hair 😂that’s some hair I will fight for
Your son's dreadlocks are the best you do a good job
Wooow I commend your knowledge about locs and maintenance techniques sis 👏🏾👏🏾 Great job indeed and big shout out to your little king there his locs is primetime. Peace & Luv
My best friend has locs and I'm trying to teach myself how to retwist so I can do his hair for him. This was really super helpful! Just subscribed!
Your son has very nice locs and this video has helped me realize that I didn’t need locking gel in my past journey and won’t need it in my next. Much love and good luck 👍🏽
You always do an amazing job.
Your a great Mother and wife and do beautiful work.
Love this. So much love put into his hair.
His scalp looks so healthy n CLEAN! Ur amazing.
