A very underrated movie, I watched this years ago one random night when I just wanted something to watch for a bit. Ended up watching the entire movie.

ive never gone for the mushy gushy endings, but this scene gave me goosebumps.
Hands down the best movie , been years since I first saw it, till date also, no movie has come closer to the feeling of deprivation, melancholy, warmth, and the connect this movie makes. Wish they can make a part II of this.

I was sick one day and decided to stay home from work. I was lying on the couch scrolling through an endless number of cable channels trying to find something fresh and interesting to watch when I came upon this movie. I was tired of searching so I just pressed play. I was lying there in a hazy daze when I soon found myself completely engrossed in this movie. What was I watching? Was it comedy or was it drama? Was it romance or was it science fiction? In some ways, it reminded me a lot of Napoleon Dynamite, Office Space, or Sideways showcasing the humor of regular people plodding through everyday life. I love movies about average ordinary people because that is where the real stories lie. I really like how this movie springboards off human emotions like humor, happiness, anger, sadness, loneliness, desire, and hope making it not only a more relatable story to watch, but also a more interesting one too. It feels as though the emotions create the storyline and not the other way around. It’s hard to explain the magic of this movie when truthfully the acting isn’t great, the story line is cliché, and the overall tone of this movie is very monotone and yet…I loved it. It effectively portrays the grey of everyday life, but in a mystical way that ultimately makes this movie very enchanting to watch. As a man, I could totally relate to this man’s love for women. The scene where he stops time in the grocery aisle to fully admire the individual, unique, and ever so precious beauty of the women standing there is something I could totally relate to. How many times I have I done that myself in my own head? Admittedly, the scene does contain a bit of a creep factor, but I know the intentions of this scene are meant to be pure with the purpose of trying to convey the secret admiration men have for women. Its complicated and only sounds perverse if you try and explain it. This movie is great for both men and women, but I think men will find it especially relatable. The thing I liked most about this movie is how the director makes Sharon seem almost invisible at the beginning of the movie, but slowly and very methodically begins to reveal her incredible beauty to the audience as the movie plays out, like a flower slowly opening up to the world. There is a message here fellas. Don’t be surprised if this movie stays with you for a while after watching it. Enjoy!

Not exactly. Guy Farley took the song "She" by Grand Avenue and remixed it with instrumentals, and also toned down this very annoying hum which starts off the beginning of the original version. If you get the original song on Grand Avenue's CD album (like I did), you'll regret it since it doesn't sound anything as pretty like this re-mixed version by Guy Farley. You can find the soundtrack CD with the re-mixed film version on Amazon.co.uk

I never did understand up until this point in the movie if his ability to freeze time was metaphorical and all in his imagination, or something real. This scene seems to indicate he could freeze time and drag 3rd parties into the frozen moment with him, or again, was this all in his imagination?
