They're like Timmy Turner's parents, only without the semi-redeeming moments.
Timmy's parents at their worst left him with an abusive babysitter, and she always gets fired when they find out just how bad she is. They still did everything to make sure Timmy had a comfortable, mid-class upbringing and let him know that they loved him. Iruma's parents neglected him to the point where he couldn't attend school because he had to work odd jobs for food and shelter, then sold him to a demon first chance they got. They are no where close.

The fact that even for demons standards Iruma's life was hell, look at Asmodeus for example, a loving family who admires him, Clara's family is weird but pretty supportive and tight, most of the other students also have close family that they love and/or are proud of with some exceptions, but nothing even compared to the horrors Iruma's parents make him go through while growing up. I haven't watched it in a while, but I really hope at some point one of the students innocently ask Iruma why he lives with his "grandfather" instead of his parents, and Iruma just telling them some of the things he lived with his parents (without making it obvious that he and his parents were humans obviously) and that Sullivan went for him and took him away from his parents, and that Iruma is grateful for that because he loves his grandfather and has never been happier than he is now, I just want to see a scene like this in which the other misfits look at Iruma with horror at the realization of the kind of life he had before Sullivan took him with him, and Asmodeus not only horrified but ready to absolutely smoke Iruma's parents, even better, an episode in which we see Iruma's parents eventually finding Iruma in the netherworld, and trying to take him away, and the misfits, especially Asmodeus and Clara trying to keep Iruma, and the parents somehow unleashing chaos and traumatizing several students and demons solely due to their weird and ridiculous personalities, just nonchalantly talking about how they need to put Iruma's life at risk just so they can get something out of it, and practically speaking about making him work for them (like he used to) like a servant to attend their needs, to the point of disgusting even demons as they seem to have more sense of morality and family values than Iruma's parents, not to mention Sullivan getting angry that they would even dare to try to come for Iruma again but not being completely surprised by it.
I just want to say that I really like what you said.
Honestly Iâve been so curious if his parents ever return cause no matter how much they got for him when they made a deal with Gramps eventually they will run out of money and will probably want him back and I think that would be an interesting arc, Iruma is somehow forced to go back home and has his memories altered, maybe his demon friends will try to rescue him
They remind me of another set of parents from another anime (that's name I can't remember for the life of me) where a guy with said parents gave him an enormous debt for his birthday where he would have to work it off via labor, selling his own organs, ect...only to be save by a rich kid in some way and become their butler.

My sister is just like them, she has no issue lying and putting people into debt for her own whims. She put our mum $2000 in debt cause she wanted a newer phone. Begged my grandparents who are on a pension for money not telling them she wanted for laptop to play league of legends. And held her boyfriend back from moving out of his parents place for 10 years to support her broke ass.

Just to be clear I don't think that Iruma saw the illusion drop. We saw later with Clara that it took Iruma destroying the illusion for it to drop. So I think in his head , they just became the monsters that they always have been to him.

Unfortunately I can't help but feel like we are going to see them again, after all there's still the unanswered question of "how" they knew to summon a demon (especially a high ranked demon) and actually make a deal that was beneficial for themselves. That's not something people can casually do.
Also there's the fact that them showing themselves to Iruma means he can finally call them out on their BS and showcase his growth from being a complete pushover that did whatever they wanted due to him thinking it was natural/they "loved" him to a strong, emotional grown individual that has been shown genuine love and respect.
It is depressing that despite being in literal Hell, the poor kids' so-called parents scare him worse than any demon.
People say they would or he should tell his parents to screw off but Iruma (being the nice guy that he is) would probably thank them.
He has a loving parental figure and friends who would literally try to move hell for him if he asked (donât lie Azz would do it if Iruma asked and Clara would likely do it for chuckles)
His parents are so awful, all the terrible things they did to him, and now they sold him to a demon, heâs been through so much, he been manipulated by they and was force to do any illegal activities they made him do and it was selfish of them to make do part-time jobs and not send him to school, I wonder, what revenge plan heâll do to them when Season 4 comes, hope those two get their just deserts.

That's a major mystery given how lackadaisical they are, them being able to live this far is question in itself.
More importantly how they were able to summon a high ranking demon and get a very profitable deal that was beneficial for them when they are plenty of stories telling you why you should never make a deal with the devil is a bigger one.

Even if the illusion was real, the audacity of his real parents to take advantage of their own son from a young age and make him do all the work whilst also shamelessly mooching off of his hard earned money and use it as they please. Then, sell their own son to get rich. They ended up giving son to someone who'd actually treat him better and ensure he gets an education too.
I hope the day he faces his birth parents that he stands up to them and says no. He won't do what they want anymore. He's happy and had people who care about him.
Sad fact according to the wiki the money they received from selling him off to a literal demon was enough to bye at least one case of Dom PĂ©rignon wine which goes for over ÂŁ100 per bottle so they basically SOLD THERE ONE AND ONLY SON FOR WINE
Yeah, but they didn't know that. As far as his parents knew, the demon he was being sold to was going to eat him or something. Him actually being sent to a much better place was pure luck on Iruma's part. Especially since he could have easily been sold to people with much worse intentions instead (like human traffickers, slave owners, etc.).

You're not wrong. They are somewhat similar, though not as terrible as Iruma's parents. At least Timmy's dad has a job for his family.
Both he and his wife are idiotic, negligent, and oblivious and often make Timmy do all sorts of crazy chores and housework and hardly help him out. They say they love Timmy, yet they're hardly around or helpful towards him. Plus, they leave him with an evil babysitter who has tried to kill Timmy on more than one occasion. Seriously, how has Vicky NOT been sent to prison?
Also when Timmy's father often gets himself into trouble more than once, he often relies on his son to clean up a good portion of his messes.
In the case of Iruma's parents, I'd say their ten times as bad and don't want to work at all. They treat their son like a slave and have him take care of more dangerous messes and even souled his soul to the devil.

The literal moment he was capable of walking as a baby they put him to work, his entire childhood it was either doing dangerous jobs, being in dangerous places, being chased by dangerous people/animals or left in the wilderness for lengths of time, it was so over the top that it appears funny but when you look past the absurdness you see how abusive it is since they controlled him by telling him "he's a good boy" added with Iruma inability to refuse a request they never had his best interest in mind. Heck they literally sold their own son to a DEVIL for cash. Is that what overprotective parents look like?

I feel like this anime might become pretty popular eventually.
Interesting, this show is strikingly similar to another anime I watched many years ago, called Battle Butler Hayate. Blue-haired antagonist is abandoned by his shitstick parents (more specifically, they use all his earnings for vacations, and then sell him off as collateral to the Yakuza to repay a loan), he gets taken in by some spiritual being, and so the story begins.
