Hi Phil I remember a wedding venue and a pet shop on the right side of the clock and on the road down to Great Bridge St Andrews Church and a petrol station were my mom worked

I'm not aware of the pet shop but St Andrews still stands as does the petrol garage in Dudley Street

Not the same anymore, felt safe in the 80s and 90s, don't feel safe there anymore

The two swimming pools behind the town hall. The gala and the 'new' baths. Stan Jones Cafe (Captain of W.B.A.)
I also went to a rock concert at West Brom Town Hall. The band was Mott The Hoople and there was only me and my friend there as paying customers.

@@JOHNMONO How many were there for Atomic Rooster? My friend and I went mostly because we had read a report of couples having sex in the aisles at the previous gig! The gigs at the town hall was a very sort lived enterprise.
Years before when I was about 8 or 9 I went to see the Honeycombs at the Plaza cinema in Carters Green. It was the band but their instruments had been 'stolen'. Yea, right. They mimed to their hit, without instruments!

@@Makemineawhiskey It's been a long time but i reckon around 50, like you say the gigs at the town hall didn't last, i used to go to the adelphi

@@JOHNMONO I liked J.Bs in Dudley. Another great loss. I tell people I saw the Misfits there and people don't seem to believe me. It's true and the audience was about fifty! They were great. Jerry Only came on the stage after the gig and signed autographs and posed for pics. A real star and gentleman.

@@Makemineawhiskey I loved JB's when it was in the old school house at the back of king Street, saw loads of bands there, The Tourists, Magazine, The Specials, the buzzcocks, to many to mention, saw the Sex Pistols when they played the Lafayette in W/ton under the name the spots. Great memories
