I lost 50/50 to c2 kequeen then got her right after then got her weapon 30 into pity

One small thing for those looking at Melt Ganyu: Xlice mentioned ~100 EM in the artifact section but you actually want to aim for ~300 EM overall for this playstyle to maximize melt damage. Because of this it's generally better to run an EM sands over ATK% for Melt Ganyu.

i accidentally got zhongli on my first 10 pull, so i ended up having enough to get ganyu too :') thanks for the great timing
same but i pulled for ganyu first and got her in 10 pulls and did another pull on zhongli got c1 mona after that i used all my fates to get zhongli
well i got qiqi in 75 pulls and zhongli in 55 so i dont have enough for ganyu

Just a note, you can release the Ganyu Lv 2 charge shot a little bit earlier than you’d think, when the second circle is just about to come back to the arrowhead. You don’t need to wait until you can see the LV 2 sparkle. It might take a bit of practice and playing around with the timings, but you can see much faster this way.

also always use mouse left click to charge arrows not through "R" button. The left click cancels the ending lag of a charged out by a decent amount but its very tedious and requires decent aim and positioning.

farm for freeze ganyu and u can exchange your heart of depth pieces in artifact strongbox for wanderer's troupe

i spent hours farming for ganyu as a freeze dps but realized that i don’t have good enough team comps to efficiently pull it off so after watching the guide i realized how i should build easily as a melt. As always, thank you for your amazing advice Xlice!

I too lost 50 50 on mona c0 did extra 63 pulls no Zhongli waiting for 10 fates on login and Feb shop fates too will I get Zhongli on soft pity ???

Best guide thus far!! Although I do believe melt ganyu wants more than 100 EM, all my builds on optimizer have been focusing on 300+ EM but a lot of my wanderer's pieces have a em substat or two idk how true that is. That is if every single shot is setup to melt which is less likely out of abyss

been waiting for this for over a year man holyyyy
Didn't even plan on getting ganyu, I just got two zhongli in one ten pull back to back so I was like "well that was unexpected I even have wishes left over" so I pulled a few ten pulls on ganyu's banner and 45 pulls in I get her and I even had to take a double take cuz I skipped the animation since I wasn't expecting her lol. Now here I am looking for guide vids on her. If you still don't have zhongli or ganyu you'll probably be fine you can expect a minimum of 30 - 40 more wishes you can get by the end of this patch and on top of that if you explore like crazy you'll get enough.........maybe..........good luck I guess
(side note idk if you can acc get 30 - 40 pulls but that's kinda what I expect with the daily login even giving us 10 wishes and the other events are probably gonna give us at least another 10 - 20 and daily commissions should get you ten by the end of the patch but I didn't do the math...............cuz yk I got both the limited characters on the two banners)
I got both too! My pity was at 72 and I had 40 pulls ready for Ganyu. Been saving for two months and had everything ready for her. Did one ten pull, won the 50/50, and got her. She was my 2nd 5 star. I did 2 more ten pulls at the place where Zhongli died and on the second ten pull I got him! :D
You can also buy 5 from Paimon's shop on feb 1.

THANK YOU I really want Ganyu but I didn’t know if I should build her melt or freeze based on who I’ve already built plus istg nobody else has updated team comps (I’ve mostly built inazuma chars) so this helped a lot

25:40 A c4 Yanfei can also be a middleground shield option if Zhongli is not available, and I think she would be a better pick than Diona and definitely better than all the other pyro shielders. You can have a team like Ganyu, Bennett, Kazuha, c4Yanfei. Her shield can be pretty tanky with Prototype Amber (based off of 45% of her HP), and she can then double as a minor healer with that weapon. It doesn't require normal attacks like Thoma's shield, and it doesn't require hitting multiple targets to make the shield thick like Xinyan's shield (even then, I still think Yanfei's shield is usually bigger than a level 3 Xinyan shield).
Cryo resonance is useless on a melt team since you won't hit anyone that is affected by cryo (they're being affected by Pyro in a melt team), and Burst is not super important in a melt team, so Diona really isn't needed as a battery.

Got Ganyu from my guranteed but was totally unprepared because I was planning on pulling Yae, this saved my ass
I recently got mona losing the 50/50 on Ganyu's banner and surprisingly got Ganyu on my last 30 pulls. I decided to do freeze comp with ganyu using sucrose cuz i dont have venti or kazuha and oh my lord its such a fun comp.

Got an Amos’ Bow from the Weapon Banner and now I’m here trying to build my Ganyu again 😂
I am currently running freeze Morgana (with sucrose because no other anemo chars) with Skyward R1 90 and I was getting like 15k bloom consistently (crit ratio was probably like 37/225 with the skyward) , but the Amos was hitting 19 or sometimes 20k bloom , and all that damage was raw damage , without any reactions . I threw in Raiden for support but didn’t like the reactions I was getting . It was hitting maybe 21k to 23k because of the resistance shred by the superconducts , but it wasn’t consistent damage . Then I tried Amos R1 90 and it wasn’t even close . I immediately lost 20% crit damage from the passive , along with the 22% crit rate from skyward’s substat . I was still hitting 19k bloom , but it was maybe 1 in 3 shots . Overall I got consistent damage with Skyward and hope I can roll with that bow for God knows how much longer I will play this game . I will try Amos with Melt teams and 4pc wanderers just to see how much more raw damage I can squeeze out of Ganyu , then I will go for 300 EM Ganyu melt team

Finally... now I can build a support Ganyu just like dish :DDD
Correct me if im wrong but i think if there are 5 enemies in a single area where 1 icicle can hit all enemies, all of ganyu's icicles will hit all 5 enemies(cant go higher than 5 since 1 icicle batch only has 5 total icicles, if there are more than 5 enemies, the icicles will spawn at random). Since ganyu has quadratic scaling and if ganyu's burst is used in the most ideal scenario, the calculation would probably be something like damage⁵ x 50. Considering an f2p ganyu can deal roughly about 8k per icicle, if you plug 8k into that equation then 8,000⁵ x 50 would be the ceiling of SOLO ganyu's burst damage. Of course this is not realistic and is only the the most ideal scenario for ganyu but still, thats nuts
As a F2P, without an EM time piece, I was able to rack up a 234 EM build with substats and the bonus 80 given for 2 piece WT. sadly don’t really have my xiangling built. 😅
