The heat is getting unbearable and we all want simple, light but wholesome meals. We also start introducing foods that will bring down our body temperature.
I found a great place, which many of you suggested for simple Marathi cuisine, so I took myself to Asha Dining Hall.
This is an all vegetarian, unlimited thali option in the heart of Pune.
You can reach Asha Dining Hall here: Apte Road, Deccan Gymkhana, Pune, Maharashtra 411004.
The Thali is nothing out of the ordinary but a good option for a lazy summer afternoon. They have a different menu every day and when I went, they served a chapati, white pea curry, potato sabzi, aamti, rassam, cauliflower and brinjal curry, a bowl of curd, mango panna and sitaphal basundi.

One of my favourite dining hall in Pune ...had been there more than 20 years... they have maintained the taste all time.
Yummy!!!! One more thing after mixing rasam and rice in that bowl do add the yogurt especially the one made with Buffalo milk and after a morsel chase it with a papad not that one but typical south Indian one. You'll remember me for some really long time.

Hi Mohita, if you want to try pure maharashtrian thali then try Shabree/Sharvaree on ghole road,I bet you won't get that test it anywhere 😋😋😋😋
Do try non veg thalis on kumthekar road like Aware, Milan and Minal or Abachi thali on Laxmi road

The taste and quality is no doubt very good of the dinning hall...RASAM is the most famous thing served here...one major drawback is they still donot accept Card/any online payment...only cash.
