You know, Alan complains a lot about being very unsuccessfull with the ladies over the course of this show, but he actually gets into relationships and has sex quite often for a guy his age. Probably more then most married men. Sure, he strikes out a lot too, but he still managed to get laid often enough that it wouldn't warrant complaining. But I understand it's just part of the humor of the show.
