- A really lovely piece, that's not too challenging.
This is a piano cover by Pianistos of the last movement of Händels Harpsichord Suite in G minor (HWV 432) - that was then arranged for violin and viola by the Norvegian violinist/composer Johan Halvorsen. I couldn't find the original arranger of this piano version, but I was made aware of him/her thanks to a commenter on this video (@kinarrt). It's safe to say that it's gotten a lot of popularity because of the piano arrangement.

I didn’t contact him, because I didn’t know it was his arrangement when I uploaded this. I only learned about it later from a comment on my video. 😅
But in my CZcams studio app I can see that the piece is copyrighted, and that he allows it to be played by others as well. 😊

These are based on my variations from 2006-2009 that I published here on CZcams, along with the PDF and a midi file.
Just listened to your variations as well. It's quite interesting to see how alike and different both of your versions are. :)
But I feel like both of the pieces carry their own individuality - like with the brahms and liszt variations of the paganini 24 caprice.
@@AnDressingMusicThanks. I did publish a different variation each year between 2006-2016, probably still have many of the other videos somewhere laying around. Published a 4 handed version too, I think it was 2011. Started to get copyright flags for my own videos/audio for a lot of them at some point and now that these pieces are trending again, the same thing on TikTok.
That sucks so much ... The copyright AI is so bad when it comes to classical music - and piano music in general. Every time I put up a video from a composer from the late 19th century/early 20th I get flagged and I have to dispute the claim. @@Widiar0
