Been a mechanic for 20 years. I don't wear gloves they just get in the way. And actually engine oil is really good a moisturizer for the hands.
I buy American made with American supplies boots only, but, thnx.
@@Fiden6666 They American made the company is owned by 1 guy. That was a concrete guy for most his life.. soooo
@@cmwhitt18 Nope, you're 100% wrong. brunt boots are made in china
@@tyendor666 my apologies I assumed cause homeboy was an American tradesman he would keep them here lol. But upon further investigation there's only about 25 or so company's that are sourced and manufactured here in the USA even some of Redwing boots are sourced elsewhere and manufactured.
Best family on CZcams 🪅❤️
Agreed
Agree but Matt’s off road is right along with them both are great people
Have you watched sleeperdude CZcams, way more family oriented than these bums lol
Yes
The sound of the old wood truck at full song was a thing of joy.
Glad to see papa Dar back. Hope his back gets to feeling better.
Good to see you put a smile on Dar's face, he would be needing that sort of medicine after what he's been through.
The wood truck is one of my favourite rigs! The exhaust note on that rig is music to my ears 😍
Prayers for Dar for a complete swift recovery.🙏🏻❤️
Ben is such an amazing asset to the channel 👏 👍
Thoughts and Prayers from Texas, Speedy recovery to Dar and yall be safe out there at the Wrecker games.
This Old man grinned, giggled and laughed, WONDERFUL way to start the day. THANK YOU 😁
HAPPY THOUGHTS AND POSITIVE ENERGY ALWAYS ⚡⚡
As I mentioned those Jets and Metering rods are pushing 50 years old. I figured if ANYONE could use them, it would be you guys!
Very nice present Ron! I'm sure they will put them to good use.
Glad you Could gift them to him Ron What a Blessing to share your Passion and Parts with Such Good folks
Excellent gift!
@Pastor George Middleton Jr Amen !
"Harvesting parts from the old junk yard! "
"Recycling to a better life" is a more appropriate description
"Enjoyful" has been added to the lexicon. Thanks Ben!
The hood ornament is awesome. The plaque definitely should go on the wrecker. It looks awesome too.
Glad to see Papa Darr up and about.
Papa Dar comes in clutch diagnosing while recovering. Get better soon. Good to see you back.
Good to see Dar on there again. Need to get him a good recliner in the shop for serious sleeping.
Mail time.... is my favorite time, on any channel, no matter how much I enjoy whatever it is that you do on this channel. Wouldn't change a thing.
The smirk Paul had on after dropping the front end of the tow truck off the flat bed had me dying.
Same here.
Reminds me of me 30 years ago!!
Best family on You Tube that can make.
Good to see Papa Dar! get a cardboard cutout of him... till he is better and can hang out again
Man I don't know why but that ol'firewood truck is just my favorite of the Fab Rat fleet. Perfect stance, perfect sound.
Those people that hooked up fabrats with the jets and seats 👍 thanks you old timers😉👍
We always use to fill the oil filters and fuel filters of our diesel trucks, when we replaced them. Another trick I used for petrol driven vehicles, if I replaced the oil pump, it was filled with Vaseline Petroleum Jelly, it helped with getting the oil up.
Hope Hunter realizes how much he is being taught. He could become a Paul Jr. 🇨🇦
That old wood truck sounds amazing! Paul had her singing pulling that Ford. Chevy power!
METRICER!!! Love it!
One place I worked had some British made machines, along with European and American. We had a pretty good supply of British Standard bolts and nuts but some of the crew were not aware that those few machines needed the British Std. hardware. A lot of metric and SAE stuff found their way onto this machines. I instructed the guys on my shift on the difference and always mentioned it in the daily conversations as British Substandard. It wasn't long all the other mechanics were also calling it that! This is why I laughed at "metricer".
We " mechs" are good at renaming things, bludgeoning device and bfh ,( big freaking hammer) breakfast wrench for Crescent ( croissant), etc.
Special work requires a special language, right!
Keep up the good work.
CYA.
Like the air fitting Paul got for the air seat.
Official name is push to lock.
Actual name is push to LEAK.
i love that you brought out dars chair, hope he has a smooth recovery.
When that old white Chevy was pulling the red ford out it sounded incredible. Great video as usual. Thank you 😊
I LIKE THAT hood ornament FOR THE WRECKER RODEO!
*a round of applause for Paul, as it took him just 33 more seconds* to get that front end separated from the truck. 👏 👍 🙂
I think hunter stopped it late too!!
I love how Paul drives when pulling something. Foot through the floorboard at all times.
Michelle's horn impression was
SPOT ON...lol
I empathize with Dar's situation. Over 20 years ago I had to have back to back (no pun intended) lower back surgeries within 30 days. My input is don't try to shorten the therapy process and take it easy as you recover. Wishing him the best. Respectfully
Yes I do have to agree with you on the physical therapy!! I have only had one lower back surgery but my dad that has had 4 lower back surgeries!! The last two they went in and on a Wednesday to fix the cage and screws from one of the first ones then that same Friday so two day's later they went in again to fuse the whole lumbar region cause the doctor couldn't really fix anything with the one on Wednesday cause all the bone that is supposed to be there wasn't strong enough!! The whole reason he had to do the last two was cause he didn't want to do everything the doctors and physical therapy wanted him to cause he thought he was smarter than them since he wasn't in the same terrible pain!! So yes Papa Dar please listen to your doctors and do what they want you to do!! It's not just the pain and suffering you yourself will go through but the heartache and suffering your family and loved ones and friends goes through!! Best of luck my friend!!
Amen and stay busy keep the rat rod shop straight they miss you when you’re not around anyway!
Front and back once they've gone through the front before is no joke
I agree fully. 25 or 30 years ago I herniated several disks in my lower back. No surgery but...theres no rushing the recovery. Go slow, do the therapy, take the anti inflammatories and at some point it won't hurt any more.
I've had 10 back surgerys in the past 8 years and still have horrible back pain. I wouldn't wish the pain on anyone.
Glad to see the beautiful Michelle make her presence known. Her candid remarks always add humor to what could be a dry video.🤣😉
Glad to see Papa Dar show up, been wondering about him. Hopefully he heals up soon
So good to see Papa Dar!!! And thank god for both Dar and Grandma Lolly
Good job mom, nice boots for nice guys
Love new Fabrats video days
That's the kinda driving that will win the wrecker games.
“I did not use a big enough bucket”… life lesson.
LOVED the stopwatch bit.
I love the camaraderie between Paul, Ben & Hunter. Reminds me of the sarcasm & wit of the old Top Gear guys (Clarkson, Hammond & May). Hunter is a great addition! Keep up the great work!
Love Hunter laughing when things go sideways !!
Love the sound of the wood truck!! Just screamin away & means business.
Good to see Papa dar again. Love the sound of a square body singing a beautiful song. Stand on it.
Using the Yota to rescue the towtruck to rescue the towtruck to get the front axle. Just a normal day at Fab Rats... 😁😇🤟
Paul, when you were pouring that used oil into the burner...Hunter wasn't the ONLY one laughing at you. EVERYONE else was too. LOL
That wood truck is no joke! Wow awesome!
The CNC metal plate and that hood ornament is awesome looking...
Hunter has the best job ever for a young man, all the stuff you get to learn and get paid to do it
Glad they got rid of the short bus last camera guy.
@@u.s.a.satire5982 Randall? Come on , he was an ok dude!
I like Hunter but he wasnt on point with keeping the air hose out of the way!! LOL I thought it was gonna get ran over a few times!
U.S needs to bring back apprenticeship programs.
Like father like son, I didn't hear the rev limiter when Paul was pulling that wrecker out. Just full throttle action. Sounds good too! Great video guy's.
That old wood truck sounds awesome!
Hunter is really stepping up in the world! Boots, knives, using the welder...we aren't gonna be able to tell him, Paul, and Ben apart pretty soon! 😉
Yeah we will. He'll always be the one that doesn't get pop culture references that are more than 10 years old.
Hunter's chest hair comment had me LMAO. 🤣
I would do the same thing that Chad’s going to do with it he’s gonna put a front and back in it he’s going to fix it and use it as a tow truck which is exactly what I would do. I would probably build it for off-road recovery more so then on road recovery but I would build it I wish it was coming to me.
He's pauls male version of lizzy 😆
@@grisslebear yeah he'll never understand what a deaf leopard is. 😆
Nothing beats the sound of high rev V8! 😀
Paul and Ben along with Hunter are fixing the roll back and removing a front end for the Yoda. The rest of the old tow truck is going to Chad. nasty mud and snow to deal with! Papa Dar has returned from his back surgery and good to see him back. Prayers coming.
Everyone needs a wood truck on their lives. Things a beast
Hunter, the best thing you have done is to go to work at Fab Rats! You learn something new everyday, from taking a good roasting, learning how to talk smack, doing some welding, even a lil fab work. Papa Dar, good to see you, been wondering what happened to ya, I am foreseeing Chad making his own wrecker, guessing he has a truck just needs the bed off that one.
Hope PAPA DAR gets well soon! The shenanigans that you three get yourselves into is something else and for some other reason you always get out of it😂
The Ole Woodtruck sounds awesome!
Good to see Hunter back, while it's not that bad of a surgery, a surgery is a surgery. Luckily he's still young and can bounce back rather quickly. He's probably still a bit sore, but he's taking it well.
It's really good to see Papa Dar up and moving again! Keep on healing Dar!
The old wood hauler for the win again man that sounds sweet when you hammered down on it 👍
Dar saying it like it is! 🤣 Feel better soon!
That wood truck sounds sooo good, just beautiful 😂
It's good to see Papa Dar back on the scene. Hoping he's feeling better soon.
Let Hunter know I once had a oil filter removal nearly that bad - it does happen.
3:20 Paul poured in some fan belt fluid to stop the squeaking. Next up, installing the lowrider kit on the air seat.
Paul went into full derby mode pulling that wrecker out, Ben was lucky he didn't have a flash back and start ramming him lol
Love the sweet motor music the wood truck plays when she's working to pull the tow truck
The best part is we all get to say thank you Michelle for keeping the boys safe.
And grandma for keeping them fed !!
This better be a good one I gave you the thumbs up during the commercial
I'm glad to see you broke in your new boots properly Paul! A little oil makes them a little more waterproof! Hunter is doing better all the time with his duties besides swinging the camera! And Ben helps pull it all together, as well as Michelle's editing!
It's good to see Darr up and around.
PAPA DAR!!!!! good to see you back moving around miss you!!!!
8:05 It's cool to see Hunter taking his ribbings with such grace. You done good, Ben.
Hes not bens son of thats what you mean ?
@@sidween sorry. As a human, I make mistakes sometimes. I thought he was Ben's kid. My apologies for being wrong.
@@novax4me I believe he's one of Landon's friends, but I also think I heard someone in an earlier video say his last name was Cox. So he might be a cousin of some sort. (Utah tends to have a lot of cousins, lol.)
We have been missing you papa dar glad to see you getting better and on the mend thanks for coming and telling Ben and Paul what was wrong with the roll back
I think you guys should do a video with how Paul builds a motor like what is in the white wood truck. That thing is a beast!
Paul was lettin er eat pullin that tow truck out🤣🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm happy to see Papa Dar up and moving around! I pray for his healing and all goes well in his recovery! I know the Wrecker games are fast approaching and will be fun to watch! So can you give us a hint to what's coming up next in the Fab Rats world? Til next time take care and stay safe...
Love hearing that ol square sing!
Team Fab Rats strikes again! 💪👍🏼
I knew before he started pouring that oil that it was going to end bad for those new boots. Glad to see those decals are now off the doors, now it's time for a big rat decal on there! Another excellent video guys!
That old wood truck is a beast.
Paul you and Ben are can do men ! A lot of knowledge between you two, kudos 👏
Another long drive to Chad's. Be safe❕❕😉👍
Love your boneyard!!! Nothing like having inventory to pick from.
That wrecker bed is gonna look really cool on a 69 to 72 Chevy. Go Chad
The wrecker boom will.
That bed looked like a rust bucket.
Great to see Dar back, wishing him a speedy recovery. I think that was the first time I've seen a Ford in Pauls shop, albeit as a 5 minute parts donor. :)
Good morning RAT PACK!
Papa Dar to the rescue.
Wood truck is my favorite....and the gun racks in rhe back window make it even better!
"got a little western " hunter creating his own catch phrase
Holy, watching you guys pull that tow truck out was fun!
I enjoyed this video so much. Had to laugh when Hunter was putting on his new shoes replied to Paul’s teasing with wit. Lol
Good job Hunter. Paul, Ben and Hunter make quite a team. Love you guys. ❤️🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍❤️
Thank You Michelle... Your so awesome to get everyone boots.... Their production may or not be increased..... but whatever they do .... they will be comfortable in doing.... >>>> YOU ROCK MICHELLE
Hopefully the new shop gets a sprinkler system with all the fires you start Paul !😆🔥😎😎
Paul, of all the vehicles on the various y tube channels from your area, I would LOVE the Yoda! Matt's rigs, Rory's all great! But I love the styling of the Yoda, and it is HOLDING UP!
You not so gently pulled out Matt's giant wreaker, but now, so ever gingerly your flat bed! Ya right! What a tough rig! So Impressed! Great build! Can't wait for the wreaker games!
You know what’s great about this channel? I legitimately don’t see any arms chair experts in the comments. Now it’s probably just me I’m sure they’re out there but it’s really kind of hard to tell Paul what to do because he’s very good at wha he does and not only that he doesn’t really care 😂
17:45 Humble suggestion from yours truly, Paul --- to salvage pretty much every drop of costly oil or other pricey auto-fluid out of a bottle like that, I just balance the bottle upside down with the spout cradled inside the mouth of the funnel (or if the filler-neck is right at the top of the engine where you can reach it easily, you can skip the funnel and simply insert the spout of the bottle directly into the uncapped filler-neck and let the bottle drip out that way), and then let it sit there for maybe fifteen minutes so that all of the oil that will drain out has a chance to do so. Amazing how much more fluid you can get by doing that simple procedure --- one time, while sifting through the cluttered back seat of a junked car at a friend's scrapyard, I found several plastic handle-bags containing a whole bunch of "emptied" quart-size oil-bottles, but each bottle had a surprisingly-large amount of still-perfectly-good oil left in the bottom from its having just sat still in the non-operational car and settled for all that time. So I eagerly gathered them all up and took them back to my house, where I inserted a big wide-mouth funnel into the neck of one of the bottles, and then drained each of the other dozen-or-so bottles into it for maybe ten or fifteen minutes apiece; the catch-bottle was around half full when I finished! So that means that each supposedly-empty bottle contained maybe an ounce or more of still-usable oil inside it! :D :D
Speedy recovery Papa Dar
The fork lift attachement is by far the implement I use most on my tractor. Nice little piece of equipment you have there.
Yup, nothing like givin the ol wood truck a good reaming! Gosh, I wonder where Landon learned those high RPM moves....
That old Chevy sounded so good I had to replay that part a few times👊💪🥰
