It’ll be unfortunate I won’t get to see the new build town, unfortunately I’ll be in another country for good by 2023, hoping it brings life back into the town.
It might just be because I'm from Paisley, (which feels like a town built entirely out of closed shops with graffitied shutters) but I went down there for a week as part of a job and I really liked it. There was a shawarma takeaway that did very nice falafels
I left in 1979 apart from a few new buildings it's much worse than I remember everything seems closed down or being demolished...How the hell did the Tories manage to fool the locals to vote for them?
Crewe lost too many jobs to be anything but poor. No political party has come up with any wealth creation for the masses anywhere in the U.K. for decades. Our politicians of all parties are only interested in pursuing policies like Net Zero which will remove all remaining wealth creation .

Crewe used to be OK, but has gone down hill massively in the past 20 years or so, we finally left for good a few weeks ago.

Tories combined with Cheshire Least Council have destroyed the town, it's gone forever now.
