- 2022 Peterbilt 389, 78" standup sleeper, PACCAR MX-13 motor, 510HP, 1850TQ, 13 speed Eaton Ultra-Shift Plus (automated transmission), 3:25 gears, LoPro 22.5 tires, 280" wheelbase, Platinum interior, new digital dash.
Love it and love the fact that it’s an automatic much more relaxing on the long drives
Douche
I bet it's gonna suck to drive
@@wizard_of_poz4413 shows you're terrible at making bets than lol
@@tfr6 no because I have plenty of experience with an ultra shit in actual real life
i don't know why the digital dash gets so much hate, i love it!! never gonna go back to the old stuff.
It's all about money. If a single gauge malfunctions, you could just change that gauge. Will be more expensive to replace the whole screen.
@@MrRMT1986 nah bro, it’s much more convenient
@@MrRMT1986 well the thing is, those gauges go out because of a mechanical issue with the gauge, not the computers telling it what to show on the gauge, so really, you would be having less issues because the computers just format it differently, to show all your “gauges” on a screen, and it wouldn’t be a common issue for the screen to be replaced
@@MrRMT1986 we’ll the screen is just projecting what the computer is telling so if it goes bad you would just have to mess with the computer not the screeen , your just replacing gauge with screen is the same sensors and stuff
@demhafdjh6324 yeah very convenient when the digital dash freezes up
That is a beautiful rig. The biggest thing I like about the dash change is putting the shifter on the column.
An APU on a truck is a must. I’d never consider buying a truck without one.
Love the fact that it's automatic love to have this with my age this is one gorgeous truck.
Automatic kills it 😢 manuals are way better to drive
@@BadEye3621 says no one lol
@@youquietinpublic yeah a lot of truckers says sticks are better especially for going up hill but getting stuck in traffic you would want an auto
@@isiahgatson7409 agree with you there
@Blazing2Glory1 agree with you there. But for people like me who are in truck driving school and didn't get enough time driving a stick due to staffing issues, I'm glad automatic trucks exist
Nothing but the classic look
Nice truck, but I'm not digging the digital dash. I like the classic look.
Just got into trucking a couple months ago and to get a truck like this is a big time goal just outside I would want it completely blacked out no chrome at all and I agree with you about the not feeling the air horn I would rather the extra lights…I do flat bed
never understood the 'all blacked out' theme. so boring and lame. no style.
@@kalashnikov1343 everyone has a different sense of style what’s boring to you is perfect for others
@@TheUsassassin thanks for the lesson mom
@@kalashnikov1343 😂😂😂
Dude I dig the whole freakin truck! I hope SCS puts the next gen Peterbilt into American Truck Simulator! The trucks they have now default are long due for an upgrade.
SCS would like to but they need permission from Peterbilt first before they can really do anything
@@The_One_Over_There Given they were one of the OG brands at launch I’m sure they won’t have many issues getting a license for it
@@zacharybishop6595 When it comes down to copyrights, I never want to celebrate anything until it's 110% for sure
I will sue Peterbilt Motors Company, if they don’t continue building the 389 for the years to come. For those who think the 379 and the 389 is a legacy that should never die.
We the people !!!!
Gorgeous! I dont know if I would ever get used to the digital dash!
I think its amazing my company has a 579 with it
The 19’ MX13 I’m driving down is nothing but sensors with me. Been in 3 trucks in 5 months. One needed an entire fuel rail system, DPF and more. The next was all electrical, constant high voltage and coolant sensor.
Truck #3 had been parked for almost a month and had a list of electronics I don’t know replaced, but then I got a stack of pages 5 deep non reading or low communication codes. I’m really not liking the motor. And stay away from the paccar transmissions. The 19’ 579 I’m driving is only pushing 455 (some mechanics say 425 tuned down) and we pull British Columbia mountains dedicated @ roughly 95,000-103,000lbs.
Paccar doesn't make any transmission
Gotta say I do love the PACCAR sound, sounds classic
Good to see one of your sweet rides at night to show how it looks all lit up
I love the exhaust with the turnouts ….I don’t like the flat or midre cut water catchers ….beautiful truck !!!!
Boy ppl complain about nothing this truck is nice I'm glad they made automatics and they should definitely allow you to test with an automatic hell why even make them if not
You can take your test on one but you'll get an e restricted license
Nice truck, but the MX-13 is too much trouble. Cummins is a better choice.
im gonna be a New Trucker and honestly… i like it. Easier for me to understand and use. i will def be purchasing one soon as i get the chance.
Get a manual tho
That truck is ready to make money!
That truck is nice I definitely drive a automatic peterbuilt 389
The best part about this Peterbilt is that GORGEOUS blue & white paint scheme with that CLASSIC Peterbilt paint design. Now git rid of all that computerized, cartoon crap on the dash & the crazy smart steering wheel, & you'll have a descent truck there. Thanks for sharing!!!
or go with the time and keep the better new "Cartoon" stuff.
@@Snakeshit294 NOPE. . . . dont think so!!! Im to "old school!" I just cant get past all that fancey computerized stuff!!!
@@truckerray7533 no the Problem is not that you can't, you dont want to. I hope you still use a flip up Phone, not a smartphone cause thats also new cartoon stuff that all the oldtimers hated....
@@Snakeshit294 Well, there aint nothing wrong with staying "old school"! Thats just how i was born & raised! And no i dont wannuh drive them computerized things. Yeah they look nice & all, & im sure would help a guy out greatly. . . . but they're not for guys like me. I did drive a Kenworth W-900L for a short while with all that smart technology steering wheel stuff. . . . absolutely freakin hated it! It didnt have the computer screen on the dash panel! Just hated not having all the rocker/toggle switches there on the dash & hated everything right there on the steering wheel. Texting ya on a Samsung S-20 smartphone & BARELY tolerate it! But nooooo. . . . .them fancey, cartoon, computerized, dash panels & smart wheels are for guys like you who better comprehend that kind of stuff! There's nothin wrong with "new school" either! It just aint for me. Be safe safe out there👍
Wowww! What a wonderful machine! Hello from São Paulo, Brazil.
Thank you for watching from Brazil!
Best truck .My teacher I want my heaven
Parabéns guerreiros bazuka Foz do Iguaçu pr Brasil 🇧🇷🇧🇷
My dream truck.
this is a new school pete no manual, manuals are old school, work smarter not harder nice truck
Nothing new school about this thing. It's an ancient body style with a closet for a cabin on it and the aerodynamics of a house so you might as well enjoy the nostalgic bits
SUCH A LOVELY LOOKING SEMI!
That blue and white is beautiful
Classic body with high tech dash awesome combination 💫
Until the electronic dash goes bad and needs repair. Good luck. Peterbuilts major flaw is there electronics. Almost all our Pete's in our fleet have problems with the electronic climate control systems.
@@lamartya.4042 always the same bla bla bla... same with normal trucks and cars first the hate about digital dashes and now almost all cars have them and they dont break....
Thought i was gonna look at a nice new truck.. until i heard Paccar.. done at that point
No lockers no truck😱🇺🇸
One beautiful ride.
Love my Pete's. I've got two. This one is nice, not my style but not bad.
Hello, beautiful truck, quick question though. Why are there 3 rows of button l.e.d. lights on the drivers side, right in front of the steps, and only 2 sets on the passenger side?
Love the Blue and White paint
Beautiful 😍, that’s the first automatic that I see in a classic truck and whith that paccar engine
Doesn't make sense
I love the start up
5:16 man, that's one big difference in the sound between the PACCAR MX engine and the X15 Cummins
this truck would be awesome in american truck simulator
Its already in it. The older dash, anyway.
Don’t care for the auto shift or digital dash personally I would not buy one with those specs. But as a company driver I’d be extremely happy to drive that truck she is beautiful
Not me
Ya had me until ya said automatic, nice looking ride
Ikr
@@wizard_of_poz4413 manuals left pickups years ago, they’re leaving semis now. It’s becoming a thing of the past. Savor the one you have
This truck is just amazing 👏
Caminhão top das galáxias
I sooo want to love this truck but I need to jam gears. Give it a 13 spd manual and I’m all in.
If I wanted to work even harder I’d come out your way and buy a truck off of ya. That’s my problem I’d like to get one of those but not pay for it😂😂
Fucking truck, just super. I really want to move to the states on a truck. so far only dreams ... your trucks are awesome!
Beautiful truck!
So the 389 can be ordered with the auto controls on the stalk no longer has to be on the floor or in the dash?
Correct
@@RockyMountainPeterbilts Awesome! I just might have to do some more research on getting into a large car! Appreciate the response!
Nice truck.
So... all the other trucks in the back ground are for sale or sold out.
What's the cost o prefer 18 speep
Paint is awesome.
Nice truck except the automatic and the paccar
I love that Peterbilt keeps the classic box hood design available as opposed to the modern curved hood. I never liked the look of the curved hood
I want and need this truck bad
Sorry. This a beautiful truck. But, I checked out when you said “PACCAR ENGINE & AUTOMATIC “.
Yep i would drive it.
What's the difference betwen 379 and 389?
379 was built up through 2007. 389 was built from 2008 to 2023.
Yep, I like the shifter on the column.
My free space is optimal. In between the seats is tough sometimes when moving around. My truck is my home. Like most others I have more time on the road than at home. So make it home and as comfortable as you can. Two-day weekenders dont care much about that. Rough ride'm cowboys can poke it but that is damn nice truck.
Given the 510, torque, long-nose, but with the electronics and auto...will it get 7.5 mpg? I need the fuel range without going cardboard box and saran wrap to get it. So how close to 7.5 will it get me?
wouldn't a 579 with the mx13 be better for you then? they might not look as nice, but theyre bigger inside and theyre more aerodynamic so more efficient.
Yeah this thing is about as aerodynamic as a house
I definitely would do a lot of stuff to this if I get one with I start doing my own company
How much is a brand new one
Thank you so very nice
Love that truck 👍
I want to buy it
The only thing about this it just needs more light I love to have more lights
Looking good from aurora co🇱🇷🇱🇷💯💯
I had a question on the Peterbilt 389‘s new ones are you able to get a choice whether you want a digital dash or the regular analog gauges will the dealership give you a choice to do that
I wish that were true but the new dash is the only one available. Old dash is totally gone now.
I have a 2022 389 with the old dash.
Do you have classic trucks with automatic transmission for sale ?
what was selling price for this
What’s the going price for this configuration?
Paccar… everything but that
Looks nice
hate the digital display, And put something more durable under the hood I need something that would go more than 400000 miles or 1000 miles out of the dealership before it breaks down, like a M14 or a 3406B
Ha well why don't ya get in a time machine then because those dinosaurs are all in the scrap yard. And good riddance
Beautiful 🤩 Pete ❤️
Gracias
Why would you put a bunk heater in when you have an APU?
a bunk heater uses less fuel and is almost silent
I’d live in this truck
The beauty
What's the price of this bb ?
Today 240 minimum
Very nice, Happy Thanksgiving from NJ.
only an mx13 and a sluggish eaton on a new 389???? oooooof
Is this truck still available? I cant find your inventory on a webpage for price and availability.
Nice
Told ya 👍
What's the max torque you can get on this transmission?
Is it possible to option a brand new truck without the new digital dash?? I'm personally not a fan of it. I would much rather have the big round gauges.
Not anymore
I think Kenworth still has them in the W900
Wow 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I didn't know these trucks came in automatic. What does the jake brake sound like
What you mean
Way cool
Sharp
Show de bola
Lindo demais 👏👏👏
Nice 👌
Are they just continuing the 389 Peterbilt
Why would there be an Esparr and a Carrier APU?
Two separate systems that can operate independently from each other. If one goes down you can use the other.
@@RockyMountainPeterbilts That's a great point my APU has failed me several times and left me freezing over night
Is it auto transmission?
Yes
So what is the price on something like that?
$375,000 because it's a Pete 😆
@@scmarine843 maybe not quite there yet only because it's more stripped down but the others could
