How To: Make Voidfang Vestments from Destiny in Real Life

- This is a complete build of my exotic warlock robes for Dragoncon 2015 showcasing the power of attention to detail, raw determination and most important of all, many talented friends to help you with the details. Huge thanks to Kat from Babylon's calling for the base robes, Erin of PeachDragon Studios for the paintwork on said robes and of course the lovely Draculina for the brushwork on the armored pieces. Without these three talented ladies, the piece would have been quite lackluster I imagine.

The voidfang vestments, my favorite warlock armor peice. I personally use no shader because I like the leathery texture, but it obviously doesn't compare to the shader(s) that you use. Keep up the good work, and the best of luck to you!

Wicked AWESOME!!! I was an avid costume maker, back in the 80's. I used to make all kinds of Barbarian / Viking, type armor and weapons, for me and my body building / athlete friends to show off in for Halloween. I worked with a lot of leather, plastic, chain mail, wood, mostly HEAVY stuff, that was practically REAL armor! I did some clay sculpting, plaster casting, rubber molding, masks , helmets and gear, and we had A BLAST! I haven't done anything costume related in many years, but since I fell in love with video games, ESPECIALLY DESTINY, now, I HAVE TO TRY something like this!! There are so many materials available now, that I never even heard of before. I am ESPECIALLY interested in this E V A Foam stuff!! I can't wait to make a Titan AND a really cool WARLOCK helmet!!! Thanks SO MUCH for making and sharing videos like these!! You have NO IDEA how exciting and inspirational they are!! I feel like a young man again!!!

Could not get chest piece to drop in VOG the first couple of weeks so this armor was the only level 30 piece I could use and it grew a special plAce in my heart :) thanks for the vid

Wow!! This is beautiful!! I can't believe it took me until 2018 to find this video! I "insta"-subscribed as soon as I saw this! I can't wait to what else LordDraconical has made! I hope he shows how he made that awesome Warlock helmet! I used to make Halloween Costumes many years ago and this year I'm getting back into it. I'm making a Destiny Titan costume for myself and my friend is making a Warlock. I moved from Lowell Ma. to Salem Ma., THE HALLOWEEN CAPITOL OF THE WORLD, so it's about time I made a costume again. I can't wait to see more of LordDraconical's work. Would love to see some examples of someone's home made Heart of the Praxic Fire robe or The Starfire Protocol! Oh, and I thought MY workshop was a mess? This guys house looks like an art supply store and a Joann's Fabric store got caught up in a tornado and landed in the same place!! That's what I call DEDICATION to one's craft!!

+LordDraconical it's nice but most of the time the bolts aren't powerful enough to do much damage
+Cole Anderson I don't warlock all the time, but when I do play on him, I use two different builds. One is Obsidian Mind with Bad Juju (Obsidian Bomber, Voidwalker). The other is the Heart of Praxic Fire/ Voidfang Vestments and the now nerfed Thorn (Scorcher, Sunsinger)
Drac you have a fine lady as well as great skills and amazing talent when it comes to your mods, props, and paint jobs, well just everything you do. I just wanna say you're amazing and keep making vids!

The back section of the armour on your warlock looks like the spine protector on motorcycle armour
Very well done.
Just a suggestion, you might want to add padding under your outfits to make yourself bigger and represent the in game models more accurately. It would make a huge difference.

I use both Warlock subclasses, but I was a Voidwalker originally, and a Voidwalker I will remain, hence my motto on my Bungie profile (Reznov23746, for anyone that cares) being "All will hail the Void, or they will burn before the Sun." in exactly that order.
Anyway, I may replicate this, if I ever have the desire to cosplay as my Warlock. (This next question if for Drac, no one else.) If I have any questions about details of the armor in the future, would it be alright if I ask you? And what Shader do you use? Personally, I use Predawne from Eris Morn (red, a kind of brassy gold, and a somewhat dark blue).

LordDraconical Is that any different than the Dead Orbit Bittersteel shader? Because that's the only one I can find a picture of, the Dead Orbit one, and that's just Bittersteel.
