I’ve known of Gene for many years and greatly admire his work. I’m 73 and have known of him for at least 60 years and it’s good to see him and know that he is still active in the craft. If a person is involved in the auto customization profession there is no reason to retire. You are already doing what you love to do.
Gene is a legend, amazing he is only 95!!!!! Very talented person.

I've known Gene for 30 years and have met Steve when he was at Gene's shop in Mojave. I was in my '64 Cadillac that day and Steve really liked it. Two great guys!

I saw Steve and Gene in Ontario Canada a few years ago at the same outdoor car show. Gene looks just as good today as then. Hanging in my garage is a piece of metal that he hammered out, and signed. He’s a great guy and good to see him hanging with Gene.
Gene is a national treasure. And he’ll still outwork most guys 1/4 his age!

I remember reading about Gene's builds in some hot rod mag, in my teens back in the '70s... He's certainly mentored a "FEW" over the decades! & Love the "piggy back", don't think I've ever seen a hauler, hauling a hauler, hauling a rod !! Nicely Done !! Thanx !
