  • Well we know how that turned out. What do you think of the Sebastian Vettel legacy now?
New Red Bull team mates!! MATES, lol. We shall see!
A very odd question given at the Drivers press conference for the 2013 Italian Grand Prix
I love Fernando Alonso's reaction!!! Lol. And Mark looks awkward and just a little pissed off!! But Daniel Ricciardo still has his big grin on his face. Haha. Will he still be grinning next year?

@Herr Denker Red Bull was the stronger car in 2016 and Vettel had 2 or 3 more DNFs than Ricciardo, one of which was Russia which Daniil torpedo'd Seb, another was Max torpedoing Seb in Malaysia... Even so, Seb finished very close to Ricciardo despite having more DNFs AND an inferior car.
2014 was a complete outlier, Seb just didn't adapted to the new regulations as good as Ricciardo did. Which is props to Ricciardo nonetheless but it was far from revealing how Seb was. Plus all the other background businesses, with him being a father and having to spend more time with his family, Michael being in a coma and Ferrari having conversations with him from time to time.
2015... Seb in a far inferior Ferrari was actually ahead of Rosberg up until USA and the Mercedes was a car in a league of it's own that year (as well as 2014 and 2016). Which goes to show how Seb outdrove that car. Ricciardo on the other hand lost to Kviat...

The Honey Badger is kicking ass. :-) Winning in F1 is more than just the driver driving as you all know. Vettel won 4 championships; he and the Red Bull Team deserve it, as I see it that is End of Story! All these drivers are the pinacle of open wheel racing; who ever is the most focused is the best driver of the day but that does not mean that that driver will win (there is no prize for the best driver of that day otherwise Alonso would have more prizes). I enjoy F1 regulations; let us see what team can win with an arm and leg tied up; give us the money and we will make it work!

Again, why is that a reason to hate him in any way? And regardless, he's had to beat webber 4 seasons in a row, and he was dominating him towards the end. So if it was easy for him, that's webber's fault.

"He had to beat his team mate 4 seasons in a row" - how was it a fair fight between the two? Vettel was clearly the favourited driver, got all upgrades first, strategy calls and team orders almost always were in his favour - and if they wern't Vettel never listened to them. Webber almost always listened to them with one being Silverstone, where he fought Seb for a few laps to prove is pace then turned his engine down as requested.
Vettel had it easy. Number 1 driver status, a very dubious car in a car which was 1 second faster than the field. Least deserving WDC's ever. Almost as bad as Schumacher hitting Hill out of the 1994 WDC in Adelaide.

@Lewghi Massimo Yep, simple if we're only looking by counting the numbers. But if we're looking deeper into their season in 2015, several things need to be understood. First, RB11 was an uncompetitive machinery compared to RB10. RB10 was a clear number 2 car in 2014, no doubt about it. Regardless of its reliability issues, the car and FW36 are the only one capable of reaching consistent podium finishes in that year. With that being said, it was baffling to see Vettel, the reigning world champion who won 9 consecutive wins last year, would be so underperformed in the car. Matched by a rookie in the team, no less. No matter what justification Vettel give to anyone, he should've fought like a world champion against at least his own teammate. Yes, Daniel was beaten in 2015. But it will never negate the fact that Ricciardo still won against Vettel in 2014.

    Stupid question.

Ricciardo just needs to drive and he will beat that average driver every time. Vettel is so angry to often be beaten by Ricciardo that he has now tried TWICE to get his team mate into an accident rather to let him pass.
It's a pity this prick got 4 WC titles ONLY because of driving a superior car. And still he was, again, lucky to win the 1:st and 3:rd year. Everybody, including himself, know he did not deserve those titles.

ethel212oasa Webber's car had often problem because most of Red Bull's resources went to Vettel. But you are right, when you have had too much luck as Vettel, karma will get you, lol.

man I'm not a Vettel fan but he did deserve at least 2 of them.. maybe not the MOST deserving but he for sure worked for them. And he is not an average driver that is exaggerating. He is an above average driver but not the best.

In 2013 Vettel won 13 races and Webber 0. Both had the same car. Why was Webber not able to win any race, if it was only the superiour car, which made Vettel worldchampion?
