The character we rap against in this song is called Yourself, he's based around a concept character that Divide had made before passing away (Called as Lookalike, the direct inspiration of Yourself), seems like a tribute to them in some way, and I fucking love this song.

They were one of the developers on the sonic.exe mod who died in their sleep during the development of the game so the other devs made this song in the mod to pay respect to them
Fun facts about silly billy:
The original creator called Divide, but people call divine made a sketch, but sadly he died due to cancer in his sleep, so a group of people continued his works and made them into a mod which we know as silly billy which can be found in the 8th week. The lyrics are supposed to be dedicated to him, As one of them says "I'll make you say how proud you are" means they wish he could be here to see his artwork and be proud of them, "Stay Awake" is a reference to how he died in his sleep, and it means they want him to be alive to see his works. Truly sad he died, because he created a masterpiece that brought the Friday Night Funkin community back from the dead.

I never thought I could be sad about the story of a mod. I don't consider Yourself a villain, he just wanted his girlfriend back, and he probably felt guilty about what happened... I also loved how this mod paid homage to the Divide, and in the lyrics it also referred to the Divide so much as for Herself. Simply my new favorite mod

I think the whole My Way segment turns this from a solid "Fight your dark self" battle into a sad yet beautiful tragedy. It shows how despite everything, even though Yourself and Herself are at their absolute lowest and have suffered so much, they still care about each other. He still just wants to make her proud, and even after death she stays by his side to cheer him on. It's sad, but also kind of heartwarming in a way. As someone who's lost loved ones, I feel the emotion in those lyrics every time I hear them.
