even when they do side by side out bush they often didn't show how good the Amarok's are at climbing hills and how advanced the anti slip works even with wheels up in the air..
you really only need the rear diff locked if you're in soft mud and can't afford any wheel slip digging into the ground..
Yes they dont have LOW range or a locking centre diff with the auto but will go 99% of the distance but in some cases excel because the drive-train while turning isnt binding and digging itself into the mud or sand.

    Jocko ! Where’s my Power! 🤣
I know when my husband bought a few Powerstrokes several years ago for company trucks for the guys and he put tunes on them. When he had some issues and took them to the Ford dealer he took the tunes off concerned about them giving some grief about warranty. The issue was… he could take the tune off but the dealer saw the other upgrades ( A pillar gauge cluster and hole drilled in the exhaust manifold to measure EGT’s) that led them to believe the motor had been performance tuned. He had to fight Ford pretty hard to get them to cover the issues under warranty. This was back in 2005 when the Super Duty Powerstrokes where having tons of issues with their injectors. He got them to cover the issue but it took some work and even had to involve a specific warranty attorney.

I'd love to see a before and after EGT figures, of any of their "tuned" engines. Manufacturers spend millions of dollars and thousands of man hours on R&D to ensure the vehicle can not only perform as advertised but for it to be reliable whilst doing it. EGTS, emisdions, noise, atmospheric temps, altitude, humidity etc all play into a tune and manufacturers leave a inbuilt safety margin so to speak in order to ensure reliable operation no matter what the circumstances.
I like these videos, I think they're cool, but I would suggest people do their homework prior to tuning a new vehicle. No matter what they say, your warranty dies the moment your standard engine tune is modified, food for thought. If they say otherwise get them to put in writing that they'll replace your manufacturers engine warranty with their own and replace it no matter what if it dies within that warranty period, I think you'll quickly find excuses flying at you left and right

Hate to be "That Guy" but leaves me wondering:
On the surface this looks excellent.
But if it's so good, why don't the manufacturers do it from the factory?
Having a huge power gain over their competition would be a massive marketing advantage.
It leads me to think that there has to be a tradeoff. You don't get something for nothing.
The car makers spend billions developing these vehicles and if they could get another 30% power and torque with no downside they'd jump at it.
Putting more power thru the drivetrain one would expect things to break more often.
    Reliability might take a hit.
Maybe the power sits where it does because the makers have bad;anced out the power vs reliability/longevity equation.
And if you tune a new car and something breaks, the dealer can see it's been modded and that gives him carte blanche to say sayonara to your warrantee.
These tunes might be good for a vehicle that's out of warrantee though.

Hence why they get loads of different vehicles. ) What the purchaser of that product or vehicle then does is completely up to them since its now their own private property. If I remember correctly, I read a few months ago that Audi and Mercedes (possibly VW too) have stated they will no longer be continuing to develop any new petrol or diesel powered cars by the end of the decade. All to do with emissions standards becoming more and more of a challenge to meet. So electric is becoming their main focus.

Would have been nice to see how the little Nav engine being a small 2.3 twin turbo went. Going by the averages can we expect 30percent gains out of one or do you bundle it in the too hard basket with the 2.0 twin turbo ranger. Seems the future is less displacement and staged turbos.

      @UltimateDieselTuning Před 2 lety +4

We couldn't feature every ute mate! We custom dyno tune a lot of the NP300s as well. They make, on average, around the 30% gains mark with the twin-turbo engine and a bit less with the single turbo engine.

What are the 3 main older dual cabs Ute's? It's not rangers! It's Hilux, triton and Navara with an honourable mention of rodeo/Isuzu combo.
      Ford have very good marketing.

My old 3.2l Triton hollowed out cat removed muffler $0 . restricted 👀 air intake just b4 air sensor to increase fuel supply as it did its best to keep air fuel ratio. Only bought actuator for turbo so i could run 22psi and thats it. Would smoke up muddies all day lol. Was a burn out machine
