I remember Ghost asking Tasha if she ever saw him as more than a drug dealer and she laughed at him. Same with Tommy and how he never saw Ghost wanting out the game as something good for his brother (Ghost). Then you have Tariq who sees Ghost as the enemy still because Ghost wouldn't allow him to learn about the past because he wanted a life without problems for his children. @@timothychavis5291 Cane is a serial killer, but even he knew killing his father was crazy and asked questions..Tariq just did it! At this point, he has to know it was a mistake....especially with Ghost lawyer's presence 😆. Jokes aside, that kid is evil and he still shows no remorse for killing his father, even though his dad and Tommy were the only ones who didn't want this life for him...oh yeah he set up Tommy to die too with the Italians . Tariq grew on me...but I didn't forget the shit he did in the original power.
@@chinoejio I didn't forget what Tariq did. After everything that happened with ghost he's trying to be better. He sent his sister to go to witness protection because he didn't want her to get caught up in his business with the tejadas. Cane didn't want to kill his father because everyone he knew everyone would find out he had something to do with it. His parents actually raised him to take down anyone in his/their way like his uncle. Tariq's been in the game and yeah he's made multiple mistakes but we wants to be different while Cane just rushes into things that will put others at risk. Riq might have been born into the life but after experiencing the cons of the game he does try to play in a safer way for himself, Brayden, and his family. He also could've manipulated the situation to make Cane actually pull the trigger against Lorenzo but instead tells him how it's going to haunt him afterwards.
@@timothychavis5291I disagree with a couple things. That uncle wasn't kin, and he was snitch. Monet raised Cane to be a soldier by any means to have an enforcer no matter what. Sadly, this why Monet can manipulate and use strings like Tariq 's killing his dad. Cane is jealous insecure fool, but Cane had serious objections. Only reason he didn't shoot Lorenzo was bc Tariq stopped him..and that was Monet's plan. Also, Tariq didn't tell him about being haunted, he just said it will change him. Hell, he still stands on why he did it (which in itself says alot..maybe bad writing or an actual foreshadowing)Kanan had the biggest impact on him and he killed his own son and still wasn't remorseful. I agree with everything else.
@@chinoejio it might've been part of Monet's plan but not everything goes the way it's supposed too. Like most of the licks Cane's done and this was before he killed Ramirez. His plan to use Barz to kill Tariq went south really fast, Kidnapping Brayden & Trace to make them corner boys, and trying to tell Monet afterwards. Riq does feel remorse for some of the people that's been Killed like Raina, Lakeisha, Reynolds, and Carrie. Telling Cane that killing his father is going to change him is a way of saying it'll affect him later Cane can be manipulated but he also changes others plans to better his own agenda and he's shown to be merciful when he wants.
Tariq considers every possibility as if he were playing chess. His ability to outwit & always land on his feet resonates well with his father, Ghost. He’s way more cold blooded than Cane however not more honourable. Tariq was so foul for killing his dad…honestly the part about this scene that makes me cringe is the sheer fact that he actually DID have a choice. He got his sister killed because he wanted to glorify the life of an inner city thug. It glamourised him. Also was heavily under his mothers thumb and influence which made it difficult for him to realise that ghost had his best interest at heart…probably more than anyone else on the show. Essentially Tariq killed the one true advocate in his corner without even having a conscious clue of it. Which is seriously ironic as he’s supposed to be this woke and intelligent individual. He always was this entitled & spoilt kid who felt deprived. He pushed his father away to feel like he had to provide for himself, thus justifying his morale and actions in the streets. A case of “you’re the bad guy so it can’t be me” is what helps him as avoid self-reflection. More to the point…hand to hand combat, Cane is a bigger threat but retains the mentality of a foot soldier. He’s greatly institutionalised in his ways and lacks the traits of a visionary…but he comes from the dirt and was moulded into a monster from birth. The game is all he knows and it’s all he focuses his attention on…he see’s the streets as a career rather than a stepping stone to something better in life. Whether or not it’s his mum or Mecca he is treated like a foot-soldier. He’s given orders and he follows them. When he tries to take initiative he fucks up but to me, Cane is a better man WHO GREATLY underestimated the willpower and cold-bloodedness of Tariq. I say within the next couple of seasons he pulls the trigger on Cane in revenge for framing him and for pressuring Effie & Brayden to murk Lauren. I say he murks Effie for that kill too tbh. Cane will cease to exist by the likes of his own hand or by Riq. There’s no way Cane outsmarts him if he’s on the back foot. After all Tariq did learn from Ghost and Kanan…
Its kind of refreshing to see this type of character(cane) i see a man who is hard not by nature but by circumstance. He was raised in the game, smart with it to a point and all about the code, but even he realizes the hypocrisy specially when he see what kinda time his mom and dad are on. Its these small glimpses of hesitation that says it all. Cane always gonna make the winning move, but i feel like the winning move will turn out to be the final nail in his coffin

@Oz Eye If they know then why is Lorenzo & Cane so skeptical of Tariq? Ghost never got caught so I would assume they expect similar intelligence of their son.
Nah he doesn’t it’s Tariq who owes him. There’s a reason why he hasn’t told Tariq the truth about Lauren. Tariq done Brayden dirty by taking the picture of Sweeney knowing the damage it would have to Brayden’s family for himself and he got Tariq back by watching Effie kill Lauren. Then he made it seem like he done Tariq a favor by not agreeing to the testimony he would give against Tariq which he then used to exonerate him because he had immunity meaning nothing he said on the stand would be used against him. Tariq is under the impression that Brayden done him a huge favor but he has Lauren’s blood on his hands.

Now I deep it, I think what went wrong for Ghost is that he couldnt just eliminate his family as he did with everything else that came in his way to the top so I guess it's true when they say you can never get out of the game or leave your past easily, one way or another, you get got whether it may be your close ones or you enemy that do it.
Killed Ghost to save his family?! lol
Yeah everyone is doing soooo great now that Ghost is gone 🙄
Did you not see all the shit ghost did even to Kanan. Ghost did all of this shit. Ghost did all of this by making decisions for other people’s lives. Look how he did Kanan. That’s the worst shit u can do is put him in prison for 10 years and turn his son into a bitch.😂😂😂
They are going to end up being Ghost, Tommy and Kanan. I’m calling it now.

@@JustJ1444 yeah you are right in a way
Tariq had every chance to escape that life. Instead he forced the struggle. He may has ghost qualities but, he doesn’t have James st Patrick’s. He’s like his mother and Tommy, they don’t respect James st Patrick the legit business man, they respected ghost more…the drug dealer. Remember season one when Tasha told Tommy “ghost is changing” cause he wants to focus on his club more than the “game”. Just really deep this.
Facts and it’s sad cause he’s the baby momma version of Ghost, he doesn’t even have the full rawness of Ghost…definitely not charismatic as James so yea Tariq is a pointless character 😂
Tariq is exactly like ghost
Only has to be in control of the options
Self centered
Tariq’s hatred towards ghost was the most dumb thing. made no sense. He loved his mother who also had a part in it but wanted to be a baby because ghost wouldn’t tell him what all he did for a living…And then he became ghost. Smart guy but dumb.

I really love how Tariq keeps justifying killing Ghost where he’s done nothing but protect them. No Tariq, you did not kill ghost just to save your family you kill them because you just wanted to be like him and you’re delusional mine thinks that Tasha is a victim where she’s enabled you into the drug life where Ghost try to get you out. Ghost did not bring you in the drug game, you did that yourself. Seriously how long with this stupid kid keep deluding himself into thinking that what he was doing was right in shooting Ghost?
Cane a killer but tariq is cold blooded
Cane's a monster
A whole essay is crazy.

@Oz Eye Monet even said “everybody dies around him” that’s when I knew he had info he gave to her
He seriously does owe Brayden tho
