  • Well It's -32 C, - 26 F and you can bet your frozen britches that Arctic Cat Norseman is a frozen block of no start. Lets take the new Noco Booster out and test that new inline adapter we installed on the machine. Will it work in such extreme temps. Place your bets!!

    Hi Gary, I can now see your trials and tribulations to the booster within Canada cold temperatures you brave so well..Will using just thin tight vinyl gloves help than bare hands when holding phone, gives you small protection from the coldness on the skin .That's cold and good for you , You already knew that ..Could you box in your snow machine to reduce the bitterness as a few degrees
    Helps to start it than waiting for the sun? .Another project for you than a non starter in your backyard ..Nice to see all your tests 👍🙏

    I like this video yes I’ve been dealing with -20 in Montana last couple days truck won’t start ATV plow won’t start hooked up Nocho to battery maintainer overnight come out in the morning the battery maintainer is in caution mode because of the cold weather so it didn’t charge all night Tried two different jump starters won’t work what is the point of a jump starter if it won’t work what’s the point of a battery maintainer if it doesn’t work in cold weather today I’m really reevaluating what the Hecks going on realizing I need to start storing batteries indoors like I see you doing in your video over night etc etc

    I LOVE your show and please don't take this wrong, but why don't you keep your snow machine in a shed? That might help with starting the machine.
    I live in southern Illinois and we always keep our equipment in a shed so it will start. Just wondering!

    -32°C is actually a lot below that (and probably any) booster limit. It's rated down to -20°C. It's a miracle it worked.
    Btw what's the engine on that machine?

    Hi Gary, I’m a southerner, but I’ve heard that people put some kind of heater in the oil of their cars in very cold places. Can you do something like that with a snow machine? Is there a gadget that would fit?🐝❤️🤗

    • @GaryReedUnfrequentedWorld
      @GaryReedUnfrequentedWorld  Před 2 lety +1

      Oh yes we all have oil pan heaters on our vehicles...I guess you could put an electric heater under a sled with a big sleeping bag or something over it....or put it in a garage at night...but then I'd have nothing to complain about...

    Heck I don’t see how anything runs smh!!! Generally things have to warm up to idle down. I bet when your moving at them temps the choke in the computer settings is reading cold, so it’s idling up after setting still it warms up enough to read warm, so it idles back down. It started after sun hit it for a while lol I’d call that a win win. Get inside, to dang cold to ride smh buddy. It’s supposed to be almost 60 degrees F today “yes” lol

      @GaryReedUnfrequentedWorld  Před 2 lety +1

      Yeah...I get it...My big booster won't do it either...it was a test. I figure it is a very close aproximation of cranking amps of the 6x the size Stanley booster. So a win... I was just hoping for miracles, for when at the cottage etc.

    Junk I just bought one and will be retuning it. More like 100 amp at best not 1000. Would not start small diesel in a lot warmer weather. Junk!
