How many of you Tony Randall wrote this jingle? He was trying to figure out some lyric for it and kept repeating the word "Meow" and realized he had what he was looking for. Randall wrote a lot of jingles. He loved commercials. His appearance as a "mystery guest" on What's My Line is classic Tony Randall. One of the funniest appearance by anyone on television (1964)

They've been using the same theme song for Meow Mix since the beginning, which I think is great. That makes the brand more recognizable.

I knew Meow Mix was old but man I didn’t know this was 70’s old
me either I didn't know. hey look at the bright side, atleast Elon Musk is geeting some Tende Loving Feline care. The first cat in space was FRENCH called FELICETTE, launched by CNES, in FRANCE. Felicette returned to earth, in the SAHARA, but died aftrwards. I love 9Lives also. I use to buy our cats this, all the time in the 99 cents store in N.Y.

We had to educate our kids on the classic Meow Mix commercials. Now they are dancing around singing, “Meow, meow, meow, meow.”
This is too good. Meow Mix might not have the best quality food but they've been making funny commercials since before funny commercials were even really a thing.

Call me nuts, but every time I see this commercial, I always put the audio with a car I made up, called the Creighton-Ward Acadian.
A choral director I was singing under told the sopranos sing the Meow Mix theme in half-step increments three times a day to help us with a particularly high section in Handel's "Te Deum." Two weeks later - it worked. And still does.
Damn, should apply this with my music practice then. Lol

The Close Encounters of the Meow Mix Kind and the pampered cat on the counter were my two favorites. There's one missing, it was from the 77-82 time period, it involved a cat searching for Meow Mix and involved a synth cat voice. The cat was wandering the streets, showed exterior shots of buildings.

My cat Scooby would love Meow Mix so much that whenever he felt hungered and wanted to try Meow Mix, all he had to do was just meow for it. If I showed him this video and he was laying on my lap, he'd be meowing for it. He often brushes his head against my hand.

In that first ad, you can see that it was definitely a human doing the meows. Because every couple seconds they would have to take in a deep breath because they ran out.

There was a commercial in the 90s sometime and I believe it was Meow Mix- there was a black screen and rainbow coloured silhouettes of cats dancing when the owner shakes the food. I was younger than five when this commercial was on tv and I'm dying to see it again
