Cartoon Network commercials (December 28, 2001)

Here's a good hour of commercials from my favorite kind of CN to come across on tape, early morning CN! A good friend of mine, ‪@TheToonArchivist‬ actually sent me this in a lot with some other CN and assorted tapes a while back (still need to go through the assorted stuff), props to him for finding this tape here originally. Anyway, these commercials aired during the Acme Hour, Scooby Movies, Bugs & Daffy, Tom & Jerry, The Flintstones, The Scooby Doo Show, and a small bit of 2 Stupid Dogs.

Yep... this is definitely the iteration of Cartoon Network I grew up with. So much has changed in the last 20 years, it's crazy. I'd all but forgotten about a lot of these commercials and bumpers, then those memories came right back as soon as I started watching this video. I can easily imagine my 12-year-old self in my bedroom, right in front of the little 2-in-1 TV/VCR unit I had at the time, hoping not to get caught staying up ridiculously late, and thinking "come on, get to the good stuff already!" Heck, odds are I was probably tuned in during at least some of the time this was recorded for all I know, hahaha. Admittedly I wasn't too fond of many of the older cartoons the network used to air in those days, save for the Flintstones, the Jetsons, some of Scooby doo, and some of the other Hanna Barbera stuff from around that same time period that they would show from time to time. My main interests back then were the cartoon cartoons and Toonami lol. I made my fair share of recordings myself back when I was a kid, but sadly those tapes, and for that matter even the VCR's that made them and the TV's on which they were repeatedly played, are long gone now.

Same, except for these errors.
* Animaniacs and Tiny Toons should've stayed here in reruns.
* CN's Cable in the Classroom must come to carry Detention and Histeria!
* Cartoon Cartoons need their own album.
* Halloween episodes of originals besides Cow and Chicken (although Grim Adventures secretly helps) demanded.
* Samurai Jack is too cutting edge to be shared with Kids' WB!
* Toonami also can't be shared with Kids' WB which wasted time on cartoons.
* Having mostly a weak schedule.
