I never Submerge my brush in water, and I use my hand to blot the brush after a slight dip of the tip of the hair in water. I am learning and I thank you for the tips on brushes. Blessings to you

Yaya I was 1000. Good explanations. All my brushes are hand me downs. So I've always just randomly used things for whatever. All help works when you don't know what you're doing

The numbers are different depending on the brand but generally the smallest brushes are numbered 0 and the number gets larger as the brushes get larger.

Then you can decide based on knowlege instead of opinions. But yes, that's how I store mine and it works great for me and my brushes. 😊👍

Does the brush need to be nylon or animal hair?
Great question! Nylon brushes are great for acrylics. Animal hair brushes hold more water and are great for watercolors. You can use both types with acrylics but keep this in mind.
