I work 12 hour shifts in the ER in the USA. Today, in between patients, I watched your video which I fell in love with! Glad your sweet peacock hen was found safe and sound. She's so sweet!
Earlier this month I was in St Augustine, Florida with family. I went to an antique store. I asked the cashier if they had any codd bottles and she did!!!🤣 I was so excited! I love the glass bottle tops you find!
Thank you Alex, Gail and miss schwoo (spelling?) for helping me though my day!♥️
Aww, you are so welcome! Thank you so much for watching! Fancy finding a Codd bottle - does it have any writing on it? xx
Hi, unfortunately there are no markings on my codd bottle I bought in St Augustine, Fl. I wish I knew where it was from. Thank you!🌺
Watching this video from 3 years ago and seeing that you found your first gobby on this lark 😃
You've reached and surpassed the amazing 100K sub mark as this comment is posted.
The sound quality is fantastic a big change as we can hear you both talking clearly and responding to each find.
I luv the wholesomeness of this show, simple pleasure and treasures
Yes The Right Words For It!!! Wholesomeness!!!
I don't think I ever commented on how much I love the music you always pick, and the way you're editing the car ride into the intro. Very nice and it sets a certain kind of mood. Like you're genuinely taking us on the adventure with you :D I appreciate it!
Uh oh, little Miss White Schwoo is turning into quite the handful as she matures...such a rebel is she😏😉!!!
Looked like a beautiful day 🌄 out on the river. Congrats 👏 on your new Wellies Alex👍. Yeah🤸🏿♀️🤸🏿♀️ no more soggy socks🧦.
Definitely another well done video. Thank you, thank you as always for your time and effort 🥰. GREATLY appreciated, sister-friends. 🙏🕉️✌️to your precious family. 😊🤗🤭😘.
You two are a breath of fresh air. ❤
The lovely ladies have done it again... Very nice collection of ''thingies''! And those feathers, beautiful.
I think I'm gonna throw my miserable life here in the States in the toilet and move out there with you girls and dig and hunt and find things that make me happy I have a trained eye also🧚♀️❤
Nancy Manuel pick me up on your way! I love this channel and the adventures these lovely ladies have. I’d love to spend my time mudlarking!
You know... you don't have to go across the pond to find good 'mudlarking' finds-- and a happy, adventuresome life. I found mine in Maine. You mileage may vary. LOL. Cheers!
I’ll go too!
I'm sure there's enough of us to charter a plane and travel across the pond together! I need a good adventure!
I'm planning on moving there. My family was forced out in the clearances.. I'm in the US ( family came from Nova Scotia in 1856) and always feel out of place here. Some of my Beatys were border folk back in the day. Yikes!! Haha
We love you Shwew!! 🦚 Glad you are home safe and sound (it's heartwrenching when our fur/feather babies are lost). And what a fabulous spot you've found to lark! I LOVE ALL your finds! Thank you for sharing them with us xx Teresa 🇦🇺🤍❤🤍
Alex is the bead queen! All hail Alex, all hail Alex! Thanks for another adventure!
So happy White Shwoo came back. Nice ending.
Been confined to a wheelchair chair I find this great escapeism greetings from Ireland;-)
I mainly use a wheelchair when going shopping ect but adventures are out of the question. I love this type of show. Tom Burleigh is one to enjoy as well.
I'm in a wheelchair too. These ladies make my life livable. Thanks for all the great adventures. I'm in Grapevine Texas in a nursing home still under covid lockdown.
i am so glad you posted that!! i have just reconnected with a dear friend who lost both of his legs to a freight train when he was young over 30 years ago.......we're conspiring to get him into one of those little 4 wheel off road things because there's a hiking trail a stone's throw from his house, but until then there are Mudlarking Videos!!!
About my friend David......when he was way down on his luck 5 years ago with no prospects in sight and i decided that i really didn't want to cut firewood any more and i INSISTED that he take my brand new chainsaw (at the time he had taken me in when i had no home) anyway, he had some big chunks of lovely red juniper........he promptly started chainsaw sculpting angels and he has never looked back!! no more odd jobs and scratching out a living in uncertainty........i share this because it may be of use or inspiration to someone, anyone, who might be in need of ideas.......look up David Lish, he's easy to find on the internet. He inspires me to get my post sepsis syndrome battered self up and out and Doing Things when all i wanna do is curl up in a ball and HIDE which for me is deadly. i have lived long enough to have seen how even a simple kind word can literally change a man's life (whole other tale).......one never knows when or how things are gonna get better!
Thank-you for sharing your mudlarking adventures. Love the new equipment. And, so glad you found your feathered friend safe and sound.
The swan family was so lovely
Hi Gail and Alex, I have been watching your mudlarks for weeks now.(since lockdown) I love that you both get so much pleasure finding treasure on the shores of Scotland. I find it even more heart warming that you are both so close. You remind me of my mother and myself. We would take my children on a walk along the shore called Lunderston Bay near Gourock in Scotland. We walked along the shoreline and back which was a just under ten miles. My mothers ashes are scattered there as I have such vivid memories of happy summer days strolling along with her in all it beauty. I know walk the same beach and shoreline with my daughters and my grandsons. It just warms my heart to see you both enjoy each other so. Alex cherish this special time with your mum and make sure you back up the recordings you make so that you never loose them for they will be so special later on. I only have the memories that are in my head.lol Your preserving your relationship not just for youtubers but for you. Take care!
have fun! xx Kathleen from Greenock.
Love this channel. Put in my earbuds, lie my head down on the pillow...and soothingly fall asleep. Makes me feel not so alone in this, angry, cruel, old world. There still is, decency and calm in rhe world. These ladies prove it.
Aww, that's so lovely, thank you! Sweet dreams xx
Vous êtes Super les Filles!!!Continuées!!!!🙂♥👍
I'm so happy Madam Schwoo is safely home again.
So cute that she followed you the whole way back when you found her 💗
I can only imagine how you both felt about your sweet schew?? And rejoiced when you found her! It's the little things in life that brings us great joy!
Its always such a treat to watch both of you uncovering history and bringing your creative gifts to bear to recycle them. Have been on medical leave for 2 weeks and you both make my days brighter. Bless you both!
Thank you ladies for spending your afternoon with us!,
Oh my gosh, you girls are all sophisticated with your technology! Nice 👍🏻
I just love how you take time to enjoy, and let us enjoy, nature and the scenery around you during treasure hunts.
If white shwoo could talk, we'd hear the story "The misadventures of white shwoo" LOL!
I wonder why she took off.
Absolutely adore...the way the British, pronounce, 'bottle stopper'. 👍☀️👍
You ladies are living my passion, time is irrelevant when you become engrossed in the hunt. I haven't been on the prowl for a while so I look forward to living vicariously through your videos...thank you for those "zen" moments!
I think I love the music on ur channel better then anyones. Beaut8iful countryside, lovely patoent mama, beautiful full of life daughter. U 2 r a joy to watch. God bless u, & thank u for relaxing fun.
Ahhhh , Swhoo wanted an adventure . So glad that she's safe and back at home .
I do believe out of all the shows that I watch about mudlarking You both Are enjoyable and pleasant To watch
SOOO happy, you got your baby back home !!! ☺😍☺
Her mum's scoot was so cute!!!!
The peahens make me think of Jane Austen type maiden aunts. The round up was quite forensic on this one, which I enjoyed.
It’s so true! The shwoos have all the good neighborhood gossip 😁
You guts always make me laugh....fun to watch.
Love you both, watch you twice a week and everytime I watch you I miss beautiful Scotland. You both show how life can be full of treasures you just have to open your eyes and find it.
Thank you so much! xx
Gail making Dad jokes is everything!
Your garden is in it’s prime and is beautiful. It’s a wonderful part of the videos
So glad you got some new wellingtons Alex! What a beautiful river! So picturesque! Your birds are so lucky to live with you. - You are so kind to them! :)
its really cool watching history put back together again one peice at a time
I love outings with you dear souls. The sound is terrific. Always a joy hunting with you both. Blessings from America.
Fabulous photography especially of the flowers. I feel like I am right there beside you. Very nice finds....especially the beads and. Love the sign!
The little porcelain hydro sign is a keeper! Well Done!
Great job with the sound quality...I’d say money well spent!
Very cool adventure indeed ! Heads and arms and ears and so colorfull beads, bottles lovely green and the intact poison bottle, OH MY, all amazing treasures!! Keep up the good, good work ladies !! Thank you for all the fun and beauty you share with all the thousands of us !
Thank you for sharing the story of your lost Shrew. Thankful you found her.
You could make tribute with the pottery shards an rocks! A good trivet to set hot dishes an teapots on are nice to have!❤
I love it when swans give the babies rides too. Theres just something so lovely about it. Maybe you could have a holiday in Dorset sometime & visit the swannery at Abbotsbury. Go at egg hatching time. Sometimes if you are patient you can see them hatch. It is amazing, you see their little pointy tooth thing breaking through the shell & then the struggle as they gradually make the break bigger a little bit at a time. It is great watching the families in their little ponds. It would make a brilliant video.
the best things in life really are free. your joy and enthusiasm are priceless. i am an old new england bottle digger it was always great fun.
With the glass being so thin on that "mystery" piece, my vote is some kind of lightbulb!
Always incredible to me how teeny tiny toys and dolls were back then.
Your enthusiasm is infectious it’s great to watch your adventures
Met these two today whilst we were doing our usual ‘Wombling’ on Spittal beach. Great to chat, we want their lives!
The littlegreen bottle when you describe it makes me think of mercury
The peahens look like they are wearing tiny fascinators! 😄
What does it say? Mum: " I don't know , it can't talk".
Mark Winnett 😂 I loved that, too
I loved that also.
thank you Gail & Alex for all your posts... even re-watching your old posts is such a joy!🥰😇🦚
reminds me of all the things I did with my Mother, which I need to focus on now, so blessed we had those times...she is withering away now & I'm trying to be prepared🦋she will soon join my Dad
peace & much love to all
Thank you! I feel like I am on this escersion with you and your daughter. Love it!
I love to watch CZcams on my tv on a Sunday evening and am thrilled when I see a new video from your ladies!! Hi from Belfast ...! x Moyra
Oh my goodness I'm so happy that white shrew is fine! Peace and love Julie
Poor white shwoo! Thought she would go adventuring but wandered too far! Glad she is home safe.
TX for showing us beautiful county.
Discovered your channel last week and been thoroughly enjoying catching up on your earlier videos. I like the car trip at the beginning and you have great skill editing and adding content. Keep up the great work girls. ( I am also an Alex, or Alexander by birth.) 👍
Looook! A new and ultra-relaxing episode of my favorite ladies on CZcams! 😀
so happy for you, enjoyed this adventure, great finds, I love the way you, Tom and Nic White incorporate Mother Nature and the animals in your videos, really dresses them up, tell your Mum she needs a staff to help her walking up and down banks, take care
I've just got to say I love your peacocks.
Some lovely finds on tonight's video. That little bottle is my favourite find.
Keep well and safe x
I think it's great you two have a bucket list and how exciting it must be when you find one.
So thrilled you have radio mics! I know they aren't cheap, but add SO much to the watchability of videos. Audio, we think, is one of the trickiest aspects in videography Thank You! I bet that White Hen is looking for a peacock, glad you found her before Raynard did. Love the bottles - how Alex finds those instibitsy beads, I have no idea! Enjoy your week - no more dramas!! 😉🦘🐾🥂👍
Absolutely everything about your videos is gorgeous, including you! Thank you so very much for taking us along with you for all the pleasures and treasures.
I Just love to watching this show.
What an amazing adventure. I just love that view from your window, what a beautiful landscape you get to enjoy. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Closeup of my favorite ladybug! Beautiful flowers and swans as well. Everything is so intensely green - a far cry from the American SW deserts where I live! Wow! That miniature green bottle was a nice find. Same for the cobalt blue poison bottle. Thank you for a cool episode.
Well done 🍀❤
Great job ladies. Thank you again for your time and effort to bring us along.
Your videos are honestly just getting better and better. I could watch you everyday.
Wow, thank you! xx
The sound from the lapel mikes is very good.
You two young ladies are a breath of fresh air. Thank you for making my day brighter. I am happy ms.peahen is back safe. Stay safe.
Once you collect enough odd bits of silverware, you could make wind chimes out of them. I remember seeing this done several years ago & I thought they were quite whimsical! Something rather madhatter, but charming about it!!!😊
I am amazed you find so much specially under an active train track yet there is the head of a doll, a complete blue bottle do not take and then a full green wee bottle. I envy your finds such a wonderful long history, I can only wonder if our things will stand the test of time. Daughter so lucky to have your Mum to share adventures with you are truly blessed! Thank you for making your adventures available, so much fun!
Hi Alex just want to say you you're mum are great love watching you both 😊
Production quality is gone up noticeably. Looking forward to watching you wear those Wellies out Lassie. The green rock you found looks like Jasper
That tiny blue bead, together with the same size one found in the field of dreams, could be incorporated into a pair of earrings.
So glad you got "white shwoo" back!
Love tagging along to see what wonderful treasures you will find!
Great to have you join us! xx
I've hunted for a lost pet as well, who was gone for several days, and finally found him. It tears you up inside thinking of what could happen to them while they are gone. Happy she is back, though! Is she searching for a mate again, perhaps? Very enjoyable video, ladies!
You have to scream with excitement when you find a Beeeeeeeeeead...it's just not the same...lol
Dear Cindi N.
👍👌👏 Yeah, that's exactly what I thought instantly too! Second thought: Hope she isn't kind of ill! But maybe only Alex's main power switch was off for a very short while? 😁
Best regards, luck and health.
You two truly make my Sunday evenings and absolutely love the shwoos...thank you for all the love and positive energy you share.
Thank you for another lovely mudlark another week we must wait bo-ho sending love and prayers always keep safe xx❤️🙏🏻🇬🇧
Oh my word! I was so upset to hear about white shwoo! I almost couldn’t bear to hear the outcome!!!
Phew Schwoo!
Beautiful peacocks and flowers.
Great finds ladies! So glad you found white schwoo!! Can’t wait to see your craft video! What teasers you both are!! Lol 💕🇦🇺👍
I love watching you and hope you are all well. It does my heart good to follow you on your adventures.
Congrats on the new equipment and wellies! So glad to see you out and about again! My favorite find is the inkwell! Cheers!
Oh what a scare! So glad you found her!
The little green bottle with the cork reminds me of the medicine bottles that had a small glass rod thru the cork. They were used to apply tincture or antiseptic. The feather who knows.
Lee Klassy like Iodine and Mercurochrome
That green bottle looks like bottles I find over here in the states! These bottles were used to hold mercury so please be very careful
Metallic mercury is safe unless inhaled or consumed. If it was organic mercury I would run a mile as just a drop on your skin will certainly kill you in one of the worst ways possible.
I'm so happy white schwoo is back home and safe. What an adventure she must have had?! We had hens that did that when they got broody and we didn't want them to set. Broody hens get rather frantic when they aren't allowed to set and will look for places to hide their nests and eggs so they can set. They can also get rather aggressive sometimes. I would keep a watchful eye on her and if needed prepare her some type of nest with plastic eggs for her to set on and remove all of her own eggs. You may even have to enclose her for a while. Her behavior is simply a response to you removing her from her nest in the neighbors barn. You might try researching broody peafowl and what to do for them, so that she is either broken of her broodiness or can be brought naturally through it.
You found so many lovely things today, it was hard for me to chose a favorite. I loved the bright pottery bits, but also the doll parts and all the unique things you find. Watching is always such fun. Good luck with white schwoo. Both of your schwoo's are such wonderful birds. Have a lovely day.
They really are such beautiful birds.
As usual, a wonderful video. Beautiful Ladies, beautiful music, and beautiful photography. Well spoken Gail.."nothing, it can't talk! :):)
I love your videos. I love the camaraderie you both have for each other! And the mudlarking is just a bonus!
What a wonderful way to spend the day! Beautiful surroundings and great treasures ...Thank you for sharing.
