I am 47 and don't give a crap about Twilight, but this young man can sing and is very soulful. I listened to 3 of his songs and thoroughly enjoyed them all.
I'm 35, and I did give a crap about Twilight, coz they took beautifully written books, insanely good young leading role actors to play the idea out and fucked the whole project up somewhere along the way. I WILL agree with the soulfullness of his voice, his music, a bewitching song of his surprising us in the first movie already. He has such an ability to sound so other-worldly but somehow more connected than any of us. I want that. It's mezmerising.
I love how he plays &a sings without any intention of impressing anyone or making money...he clearly cares about the music and has a great style. I just now discovered his various covers and originals, I love them all.

I don't know why, but poor recording quality, unclean guitar playing, and all his singing mistakes together with his rather raspy, untrained voice should actually be disqualifiers. But all of these things coming together somehow makes this song such a beautiful, genuine and inspiring piece of art. Imperfection at its best.

I mean he messed up a few times, but he's never actually recorded. He's just played at pubs and stuff. No artist gets a song on the first try in the studio. Plus he adds a great twang, almost a blues with his guitar. It's amazing

A lot of people dislike the movie twilight, but some haven’t read the book. Some people just don’t like it, that’s fine, but the thing is that the movie cut out A LOT. Like A LOT a lot. In the movie they make all these expressions that come off as weird, and actions and phrases. And one of the biggest things is In the first movie alone, Bella and Edwards relationship grew really fast, and when you watch it they never really got to hang out and just talk..aside from the forest scene where she tells him she knows, and when they were talking in her room. It was very odd especially since he declared he wanted to kill her multiple times. But I’m the book there’s much, much more ground work in their relationship, they went on a hike together and in the meadow they just talked, they had this part where they asked each other a bunch of questions for family to favorite colors. So my point is, some people hate the twilight movie, for their own reasons...but I think one of the reasons is because the relationship was rushed and it didn’t really make sense...but that happened a lot in movies that are based off books...lots of stuff that fills things in are just snipped out witch in the bigger picture makes the movie a little off. But I loved the series anyways, reading the books helped fill things in for me. Anyways that’s it, I don’t want to be too annoying with this long post.

The movies hold no light to the books. The books are masterpieces and are way better than the movies..the movies are just a basic suffering boy innocent girl..the books are more depth and heart and intensity that everyone who reads them can feel. 💞

As a musician, I think he shows incredible potential. Whatever technical abilities he has or doesn't have aside, he does posses that one thing that any artist needs in order to truly be memorable...soul.

It's such a brilliant representation of surrendering your heart to an uncertain future by making it certain in your head. All that is actually written into the composition of the song purposefully, because Van Morrison is a genius, and Robert Pattinson did an incredible version, touching the very heart of this song.

I grew up in a family of music and this song felt like coming home. Grandpa always said our imperfections in our work make it more beautiful, he's right. This song made me feel something I usually only feel at Christmas with my Aunt's and Uncle's playing, truly a breathtaking piece.
