- Shortly after converting my Ice Cream Truck to single speed, I decided to take it on the WoW trail in Midway, Utah. I shuttled this trail with a few of my friends and it was an incredible trail with amazing views and awesome singletrack. There was a ton of smoke in the air that had blown in from the fires in California, but we didn't let that stop us from having a great time on the trail.

We just watched it and we couldn't look away. Beautiful trail, beautiful time of year.
Such a fun ride!! We’ll have to do it again, maybe next year?
Are you running Chronicles? The dirt here looks really similar to what I ride most of the time, and my 29x3.0 minions are def overkill.
Yes I'm running Chronicles. They're a great tire for everything I've ridden except for wet rocks/roots and mud...then they lose traction or clog up pretty quickly. But if you're riding dry to ideal conditions, they do really well and are pretty fast rolling.
How much air pressure in those 29+ tires? Are they tubeless? Sure looks to me like you were not taking advantage of the float/suspension of the big tires.
I usually run around 13-14 psi. Front wasn’t tubeless on this ride but the rear was. I weigh 230+ so I can’t go too much lower or I risk rim strikes.
Gear ratio?
What gear ratio do you run your single speed?
Currently running 32x21. A lot of guys around here run 32x20 on their 29ers but since I have a little more diameter with the plus tires I went one tooth bigger.
