eFootball is a series of association football simulation video games developed and published by Konami. It has been completely rebranded from the original Pro Evolution Soccer (known as Winning Eleven in Japan) series.[1] The game's first year, entitled eFootball 2022, was released on 30 September 2021. It was later changed to the game's second year, eFootball 2023, on August 25, 2022 and the game's third year, eFootball 2024 on September 7, 2023. Like in Fifa (EA FC) It's about your personal playstyle and preference. Analyze your own style of play, your skill level and ambitions and go from there. I play 4312 and variations of the meta (that word is overrated) that suits me. Even if you go full meta pay to win, a better player will win the game with a standard team. Learn to master the mechanics, use players that fits your style and have fun. 😁

In the formation you proposed 4-2-1-3 quick counter, can I put Carlos LB, without any instructions and put defensive instructions on Vieira and Makelele? Then counterattack to the SS on the left and to the attacker on the right. Could be a valid alternative?
You could yes, but ideally you want 5 players always staying back with Quick counter, specially if you face long ball counter.

What about player instructions on possesion gameplay ? I use def play on my Cdm (Rice)
Depends on the formation, for possession i normally use none. unless is 352 then deep line on DMF and Side mid.

I would say long ball counter is more meta cause of low safe defence line
You are right.
But it's harder to build up from defense, everybody runs forward when u win the ball. When u lose the ball u make much less press too so opponents can play more freely

4-2-2-2, 4-1-3-2, 3-2-2-3, 3-1-3-3 i change often is how i enjoy the game, but sticking to a plan is the best way to improve.
