You have done well, you guys will come back in three years, you cannot recognize your area, in Ghana, once people start building in a new area, people just join, next year you will come back and you notice you neighborhood is changing fast. Great investment, if you decide to sell it in future, you will make millions of dollars.
The Blair family like joke owns a property that can be transferred to their children’s children. No mortgage, lil or no property tax !, if they would go solar and dig their well, the rest would be just food which they can grow if they want. Congrats for such a bold decision, peace and true ownership over luxury.

Pro tip build a community on your land always build a bed sitter or biplex to triplex single storey because when we age we dont like to climb stairs remember that blessings im just getting my building plan for my Duplex.

There should be a door in the garage instead of a window.When you drives in,you just go inside the house instead of coming back out of the garage to go inside the house.
It's not a garage. We may turn it in a guest room in the future and rent it out separate from the house. But we will use it as a car port until we decide. Most people say that, but we have our reasons. Meaning the wall/room is 3/4 complete so it's easy to transform and add a bathroom.

Proud of you guys. You've made good progress. Just praying all goes well as planned.
One piece of advise though... Just insist on how you want things to be positioned. Exposure counts a lot when you are building. The local builders may have their own tastes and preferences and may go with it if you leave some decisions to them.. An example is where you would want to position your dry lines, plants etc... That said I'm sure you will get the best out of the team. They are very committed. Congratulations

Don't be too generous with gifts only do so as reward foe exceptional accomplishments or at the end of the project if their performance exceeds your expectations and deserving of a reward. Otherwise word may get round that you a sort of benevolent billionaire that can be easily accessed. All financial problems people need solving would be place at your door with a sense of entitlement. Sometimes your generosity can be viewed by some workers as a flaw that they must exploit to the maximum whilst they have the opportunity and this would make their performance worst than it would otherwise had been.
I have made these mistake myself but in Nigeria.

Wow just sitting here with my floor plans infront of me, watching your walk through, and thinking that, I wished to be that far along. I'm just about to get my land cleared stage. @alkebulanfirstofgenerations I feel you also they build big in Ghana. We shrunk our house changed some dimensions, and it's still bigger than we wanted. But it grew on us.

HOW do you Get INTO the house FROM the GARAGE ?
It's not a garage. It can be used as a car port, lounge area when guests come, and also we can turn it into a guest room or maids quarter if we'd like. That's why we set it up that way.
